My problem is all the exploits I know of currently have been fixed  :/

The door one is so old I am not sure it even counts as an exploit.... not like the devs ever tried that hard to fix it.

Not really an exploit... the Dev knew this would happen which is why it is once a day.

Who knows though, my version of an exploit just might be a little different then a Dev.  Though, I fail to see how that can be since I am Dev.

Their policy is gameable in a way that can get you banned. So yeah.

Exploits are never "illegal".  Cops are not going to show up and arrest you for ransacking an epic chest.

Against the TOS just means Turbine can ban you for doing it.  And there is no rule in the TOS that you agreed to whic says its a violation of the TOS to discuss exploits.  That rule exists SOLELY on the Turbine Forum.  It is not in the actual TOS at all.

So, its not a TOS violation to discuss exploits so long as the discussion isn't on the Turbine forums.  Hell, even if you discuss them on the Turbine forums, all that happens is you get infractions/bans from the Forum.  Your game account is never banned for DISCUSSIONS.  The only way your game account can get banned is if you PERFORM the exploit in-game.

Discussing = allowed.
Performing = not allowed.

Since this is not the Turbine Forums, we can discuss them all day, every day, with NO repercussions whatsoever from Turbine.

Look, if you exploit and you get hit for it, dem's the breaks.
If you get away with it, awesome.  But if you get busted, don't come crying to the Vault.  With a very limited number of exceptions, we have no pity.

And for the record, I have a pair of ML8 +3 true law, frost, icy burst handwraps of pure good that last about 7-9 more levels before I toss them to an alt.
And I knew exactly what I was doing when I made them.

Secondly, there was no need to ask a GM.  READ THE FUCKING RECIPE.  It said right on it, something to the effect of: "this effect can not be added to a weapon that already has a cold effect on it."
That means, once you add frost or icy burst.... guess what?.... IT HAS A COLD EFFECT ON IT!
If you added another, you circumvented an error in the game mechanics to your advantage: ie: exploit.

I have no sympathy for anyone that didn't understand this to begin with and then cried about it later.

As to the ADQ1 infinite kills:  The game changed when renown was introduced.  When the game changes, some of the rules for that game will change as well.

I'm not saying exploiting is evil, as I do it myself, but I know exactly what I'm doing at the time.  If I get clipped for it it was my own fault.

Just simple old instance holding.  Since the tower was in a different instance, you could leave one person in the quest, then regroup while everyone else was outside.  This caused the tower instance to reset.  Everyone groups back up, jumps into Litany, runs through, collects tome pages.

What's funny is that even with this exploit, it was still a significant grind to get all of the pages.  I think I did this for a week straight and never did get a full set.

Actually the barrier was even there back then, and would have prevented the exploit if it worked properly.  However, the barrier was bugged and only spawned about half the time, so people would just run through to the point of completion with the black dragon and if the barrier came up, recall and try again until it bugged.

When it was officially posted by a Dev that they extra effects would be removed, there was a thread crying about how the poster paid like 3 mil for a shtiload of icy burst kits, and risia crafted a fucking ridiculous number of weapons with frost and icy burst.
The rant was about how Turbine was "stealing millions of plat from [the poster's] account."  That was even the name of the thread, or some derivation thereof.
It created a huge noob bashing fest for the OP, with the vast majority of people mainly laughing their asses off that someone would spend that much on it to begin with.

Anytime someone brings up how they got "shafted" by the Devs removing the extra effects I'm reminded of this thread.
