Could you be more specific?

Oh, not yours, Foecleaver's. Sorry, that was a ditzy bit of quoting I did back there.

Nice boat, though. Cheesy

torc is a bit different... many builds can utilize a torc to great effect including bards. some classes that could take the largest advantage of torcs are rangers and paladins (obviously with metas for healing) because they are always in combat and can be regaining sp...while i notice on my arcanes often times im not even getting hit... although the option exists to just turtle up on them to regain sp. regardless the argument is there for any blue bar class capable of self healing to take and use torc Tongue although id be willing to bet the bard who took it wont maximize its potential just because most people dont build for solo survivability via self healing/metas

Except I know the bard.  He uses wands.  He might use a heal scroll, I have never seen it though.  He is like 16/14 bard and some other nonsense stuff.  I would have to login to argo instead of khyber to see, and I currently do not feel like doing it.

If he maximized the potential of a bard i would congratulate him on  his win, instead I say fuck him.

I know that.  I was actually more asking why Turbine would put a potency effect on an item whose other effects block spellcasting.  And the other effect is an auto proc.

It just seems an odd combination.  Like a Docent RR Dwarf.

I am sure it was a very deliberate consciously thought out joke.

A challenge even. Go make that evasion caster and just never ever get hit... the ultimate twitcher could maybe pull it off?

I was here when GH was released but extensive drug and alcohol abuse in my 20's has effected my memory of such things so I can't say I recall anything definitive.  However if we are speculating...

My assumption always was that the proc rate was meant to be lower so you could wear them on a caster but you might get burned along the lines of the bracers of Demon Consort but they messed it up and melees fell in love with the boots so fixing the proc rate would have caused too much ruckus.

...pure wild speculation.  Likely wrong and wholly made up.

Sisster has a set on her Clonk.  Everything else on her 40th either sucked or she had.  Now, she can say...sorry I can't heal you I'm Madstoned.

I almost never use madstone boots. Maybe in a raid with decent healers, but otherwise I love my casting/scrolls too much.

Oh, and obligatory

Nice childish games Stainer.  So glad to see that you blame me for something you started.  Like I told you, be a big boy and play nice or GTFO.  You win the internet, I bow to you.

Guilds obviously take on the personality of their leaders.  It's not uncommon when guild leadership changes for some members to dislike the new personality of the guild more than the old personality resulting in turnover in membership.

The Falutin Foecleaver is different than the Breaken Foecleaver.  Don't know if it's better or worse.  I'm not there.  I would suspect that it's not either.  It's just different.  And you opinion also probably depends heavily on your point of view.  (paraphrase from Obi Wan).

Yeah, that could be a problem.  That's one of the things I love about my guild.  If that happened, both people would be asked to play nice together, and if neither party could comply they would both be booted.  It tends to keep the drama to a mild simmer rather than a seething boil.

Your guild leader must be a prick bastard.

I remember back in the day that GH was new. Had a guildy soloing through Crucible on their sorc and could not figure out why he kept getting madstoned while running through the maze when it had never happened before. A wonderful stream of profanities in guild chat every time it would proc.

I must say that last Foecleaver TOD I did on an FvS was a hoot. I kept getting these tells from one of your clonks going 'can you solo for a bit? I'm going to range him.' And then Falutin wondering why he lost aggro. Sorry that's possibly part of the reason you went incapped as I was laughing. Very fun run Smiley Cheesy

Oh and I suggest you avoid CE VODs if you don't like random as the latest is they are run on elite and IF there is any trapper in the party traps are not done until after they've gone off. And no you won't get fom so if you have boots put them on as there will indeed be grease at this time. Love it! Smiley Cheesy

I loved the first time that happened. Got both healers (Stop and Mel) killed just before Sullo dropped down again, so it became a race to see how fast we could get off raise dead scrolls before the tank died Smiley
