This thread reminds me of how badly I wish I had kept this one fellow's name. I joined my very first Coal Chamber, and this dude was the very last one to join the party. I said multiple times that I was unfamiliar with the quest and that I got lost sometimes, so I would appreciate some patience.
Meanwhile, as I'm running about the place, I find the entrance to the final chamber about 3 fights too early and end up standing in front of it. Constantly as I stand there, I announce "Hey, are you guys doing something real quick, or should I join you?" Silence. The DM mentions something about how a genie tells you to question some dude. Silence. The same thing. Silence. Gelatinous cube.
One of the other players who knew the quest well caught up to me around this time and was like "Okay, sorry about that, anyway we're going to do the last fight, so let's go shrine up first."
While we're on our way to the shrine - tinkling noises and XP for the whole party. Then, the monk who was running about in front of everyone and completely failing to communicate with the party says that we're a bunch of pikers and logs out without a by your leave.
For extra bonus dick points, I PM him to tell him that he's a dick who wasn't listening to anyone in the party, and he got me slapped with a warning for vulgarity. Like a bitch.
I mean, I would understand if it was that dude's party and I had barged in without saying anything about how I didn't know shit. But I told the leader before I joined and told the party before we started, and he was still a cocksucker about it.
