Don't make me start on Ulity again, I have a job interview this afternoon.

Saecret , Seacret, Ulity.

Sorc, Pally, Monk. All fucking gimp. He sits and waits to form a full group to farm DQ1 for seals. I have squelched all his toons I think (hope).

A few guildies think he may have some mental disorder given how he acts. Always asks for free passes for packs or random shit too.

Violeita was in a Von6 lead by Thassador (effective build and seems like a good player) that Ulity joined...he went buh-bye over the edge before they even left home base.

It seems now everyone is sharing my pain from when I first encountered him in the Sub...that gives me great pleasure Cheesy

He gave me a scale and a stone for a Cape of the Roc. Smiley

Seacret, hmm. I had a wee chat with his guild leader after he bailed in a Shroud I was leading, having moaned that he'd joined a Shroud and then some epics came up, he claimed girlfriend aggro but did the whole relog / leave party thing and lo and behold, there he was in the epic PUG. Sigh.

It wasn't game breaking, for sure, but definitely an annoyance. It took longer than it would have done and, I don't know. I consider it pretty rude to bail on people once you've entered the quest. I just don't look at the LFMs at that point, you know?

He ( or she for that matter) is an annoying, rude and ignorant opportunist. If you decline them and say you just don't like them, be prepared for many tells asking why, why don't you like me, what did I do. It doesn't change anything so I just squelch the toons as they annoy me.

Ok end rant Smiley

Only for the Arcane casters that knew what they were doing.  Blank, obviously, didn't even know it was possible to increase spell damage.

Your first caster ever involves prestige classes? You are spoiled and don't even realize it!

If by "good" you mean "annoying and frustrating and cookie cutter" then yes. thats true.

The PRE thing was frustrating for any casting class except bards until about 1 year ago.

Barb, Cleric and FvS all still have 1 PRE.  This is particularly crappy for Barb and Cleric as original classes that are getting less dev attention than Monk which has been in the game for much less time.

Monks need attention. Every update and they have something else wrong with monks.

Anyways, casters were fun back in the day.  They are just as broken now, as they were then, with pre's.  'Tis true.

The only thing not cookie cutter these days is sorcs.  Ooh, they all go a diff savant path, they all still solo whatever quest, and - wait a second!  They did that back in the day as well!  Guess nothing has really changed there.  Same deal with wizards.  The only difference now is that it is easier.

I will give you that bards, clerics and fvs need more attention.  Then again, imo, they should have released all the pre classes for each class at the same time.  Not a little here, a little there, maybe a tier here and a tier there.  Bullshit in my opinion.

I like the way sorcs got basically 4 PRE paths all at once.  Much better than getting them one at a time spaced out between years.

Monks are one of the toughest melee classes to get right.  You are balancing on the knifes edge.  On one side they become stupid OP.  On the other, they are just stupid.  There is very little middle ground.

I think the caster PRE's take so long because it is very easy to accidentally make them game-changingly OP.  Balance there is a tough thing.  The Wiz PRE's are nice.  Nothing OP, but nice.  The Sorc PRE's seem to have gone a bit too far.
