Oh, that reminds me.
I was in a Shroud about an hour ago with some guy named Hairto. His guild was called Discordia.
Anyway, right at the beginning of the fight with Harry on Part 5, someone calls out for Deathward. Now, I've seen a LOT of people call out for Deathward on Part 5 even though Kas'quik the Mighty (the Paragon Kobold) isn't one of the mobs from Part 2. So, since I'd rather the two healers pay attention to healing instead of handing out meaningless buffs, I speak up.
I explain that Deathward doesn't help against anything Harry does and the only reason to have cast it in Part 5 is if Kas'quik is in the Shroud. I further explained that he has a Vorpal attack that DW would protect you against.
Well this guy "Hairto" speaks up and says rather sarcastically, "Well, don't you know it all." This sort of surprised me because I didn't raise my voice, call anyone a noob, didn't call anyone stupid or anything close to thos kinds of things. I thought I gave a fairly vanilla explanation as to why DW wasn't needed. So I responded to the guy simply with "Well, I have been running Shroud since it came out." He then responded with something like, "Is that supposed to impress me?" or "Is that supposed to be impressive?" or something similar. So again, without raising my voice or trying to sound condescending, I simply said "I don't care whether you're impressed or not." That was the last thing I said. We finished Part 5, the altar was hit, we got our loot, and I finished out. That was that.
It was a rather strange sequence of events. It was only the third or fourth time in over 5.5 years of playing that I experienced anything close to in-game hostility like that. Of those three or four times, this was only the second time I was involved directly. Very weird.
