OMG I will let you guys guess who this is.
Dq2 epic we all zone in im on one of my bards I sing some buffs, everyone seems in, everyone moves forward so I move forward singing my buffs.
I joined during the last attempt that failed against her.
You forgot that, during the previous failed attempt, the first run through is where he ran off before haste happened and wondered why he didn't have haste (the rest of the party was at the start and waited for the haste before joining him).
The run you are talking about also had every other player make it to the shrine - including two who came in late.
I loved it how he kept asking for songs and you kept singing as we ran along...not noticing he was still at the start. And, as we sat at the shrine, it started to dawn on several people that he was still at the start as he was lecturing us about songs.
Here is part of what he had in chat (I was laughing too hard cutting and pasting it in guild chat and forgot to put it into notepad):
(Party): [Party] <Player:IIDString:0x021300000011E0B9:Greataxer>Greataxer<\Player>: im where songs should be sang
(Party): [Party] <Player:IIDString:0x021300000011E0B9:Greataxer>Greataxer<\Player>: you guys ran ahead
After you DD and the healers didn't follow us, this is the awesome part:
(Party): Your party member, Greataxer, has died.
(Party): [Party] <Player:IIDString:0x021300000011E0B9:Greataxer>Greataxer<\Player>: thanks guys but clearly no one is making any attempt tonight, well try this again another time, letting the tank die during the basic intro? .. yea
If he was on his sorc and the main tank died on the way in, I am sure he would have recalled, said "any tank who dies on the way in surely can't tank the DQ", and kicked them from the group.
