Yeah, I should just quote their post here.

On the bonus side, they have been pretty reserved lately, so it's not like previously when it was a more "do it our way or else you're an abusive exploiter" attitude.  So that's a definite point in their favor.  Their current posting/recruitment style doesn't really bother me much.

Quote:
The_Human_Cypher
Pure Class is a level 70 Guild on Argonnessen server. Our website is http://pureclass.freeforums.org.

We've been around since 2010 and grew our guild from the bottom up. We are an established guild with a core group of online friends who met each other through the game. We appreciate each other's company and play and build to similar styles. We coordinate weekly guild runs and play to balanced team strategies. We take care of our Stormglory Tempest Airship with contributions from all of our members.

At this time, Pure Class is looking to fill our ranks with like-minded people. Our goal is to have our guild comprised of 15 solid people who are in it for the long term. We have some openings now and are looking for folks who are looking for the same things we are:

* Can play DDO 2-4 days a week, including our weekly Guild Night

* Have an "I'm up for anything" attitude

* More interested in quality play than just rushing to your character's next level or playing to solo-quest strategies (like zerging); be a team person who wants to help others do well

* Understand how best to build pure class characters based on the Prestige & Capstone Enhancements and how to use them effectively in a balanced party (team) system, or at least be willing to learn and implement these ideas

* Follow directions well - should only have to tell you once

* Our core group has been with us for three years; we are looking for people who have the personalities that enable longevity and quality: maturity, a good heart, a good lifestyle, and the desire to help and care for others - besides just liking to play video games

* Pure Class members typically switch toons just to be able to help out others; we don't mind running quests we have already run so as to help others earn Favor Points (even low-level quests); we like to run wilderness areas for slayer, explorers, and rares; we love to stick together in quests; we succeed with our builds and strategies in all the quests that we run together, even at the higher levels and in raids (everyone does their job); we are very class- and role-oriented with our characters; we like to joke around as we play

* In general, the folks in our guild are conservative, patriotic, and hold Christian values; it would be nice to find similar-minded folks for the sake of getting along for years to come.

If all those traits are things that you appreciate and want to be a part of, then we would like to play DDO with you. If you are interested in joining Pure Class, we ask that you have a character on the Argonnessen server and play with us! Ideally, we want our officers to each spend a couple hours with you, so the best way to do that is message us in game and we will coordinate a Guild run together. Our officers' names are: Godholm, Radicaltop, Gorgolith, and Asheraah.

I have run with Pure Class before, not too bad.

I think they are just more laid back......and prefer "classic DnD" style of play, which imo isn't bad just not most players' cup of tea Smiley

Godholm is DEFINITELY a Snootch toon.

So it appears he's circumventing his DDO Forum ban.  Grin

Godholm and Radicaltop are both Snootch toons.  In a different post, The_Human_Cypher refers to the guild leader as the source of some of the rules.

I'd say from the posting style and reasonableness of the answers, that it's probably not Snootch circumventing, but simply a guild officer taking over the forum communication job.

EDIT:  Sorry, I was thinking of Renassi (one of snootch's alts).  I dunno if Radicaltop is one of his or not.

Now that I've thought it over for a bit, I don't know if that one is Snootch or not.  He was running up a character that started with R, but I can't remember right now which one.

Go go gadget YABB search function!  Ah, there it is.  Ranessi.

My apologies to Radicaltop for the potential slander.  Or is that libel?

Unless it is one of Snootch's alts.  In which case I don't apologize.

Heh.  I wouldn't really know.

My guild is (or was, last time anyone noticed) on their list of "abusive" guilds, so they've always been nice enough to let us know that "They don't run with Chaosknights" whenever the occasion came up.

That's generally a good thing in my viewpoint, since our respective playstyles probably don't intersect much as a general rule.

Fair enough. I know that I've run with Radicaltop a few times over the past few years and we're on a "hey, how's it going, want to do a couple runs" basis, but not really close. I've mentioned to him the whole Snootch crazy manifesto thing and he's never taken offense and simply said that in game "Godh" is pretty OK, but always in the third person. Which could just be Snootch deflecting, but I don't really get that from his forum posts.

Also, I haven't seen any other of Snootch's alts that I know of on during my playtime, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Willing to give Radicaltop the benefit of the doubt for now. We're not tight but at least he hasn't gone all Unabomber on me or anything.

It's kind of sad how few players there are to avoid running with on Sarlona of late. There's the flower sniffers and the small children, but I never see SoloArtiste, 555, etc around anymore.

Nickis, on Ghallanda. There was a pretty shit arti in the group, too, but he was just new. In an EE LoD, Nickis spent the whole run bashing the arti for blowing traps, meanwhile, had zero kills and didn't heal as his cleric. Pretty sad when I had to use heal scrolls. He wasn't CCing either. He literally used ALL his sp on I think flame strike, some spell that did almost no damage to anything and didn't CC them either.

See, I don't mind bad players actually, as I can easily solo that quest, it's a really easy epic elite. But when bad players are calling out others etc.... yeah.

So, you're sad, about not having the opportunity to avoid grouping with certain players?

Makes sense.
