Monk:Passive life feats for a mele...

My main and favorite toon is a WF monk.  He has two monk lifes and contiplating leveling a couple times of another class before I TR him for his third and final monk life.  My question is what class is really worth leveling a toon for the passive life feat.  Paly-5% healing amp~big deal/not interested.  Barbarian-10 hp big freaking deal-not interested.  NOW:  I was thinking about fighter for +1 to hit and was wondering if the the +1 to DC's works on stunning fist.  Also thinking about rogue past life feat of plus to damage on sneak attack.  Does that work even if you don't have any rogue levels?  So any suggestions.  Right now my DC on stunning fist is 39.  Any and all input appreciated.

Fighter past lifes seem to bring the most bang for the buck. I like the barb rage, have yet to test it tho. Soon, hopefully.

They don't get that for free.

The free Ranger feat is +2 to bow/xbow damage and +2 to inherent elemental resists.

It should be scaling based on character level.

Yeah, no kidding... if it isn't, man that just saved me a whole life on my theoretical TR work that hasn't even started yet.

The barkskin past life feat does scale. You get +5, and at level 20 it lasts for 20 minutes.

The Ranger past life feats may be the worst of the bunch...

Barb rage is overrated.  30 seconds, and nothing modifies it.  Works out if you just save it for boring raid beat downs though.

Yes rogue does work even if no lvls in rogue.  Also yes, the fighter +1 to dc does work for stunning fist.

Paladin feat can be extended.  As an FYI.

Tarrant: When making characters on DDO, I rely heavily on the path system. I find too much choice to be stressful at times, so I enjoy working with templates which allows me to use my energy to focus on killing things. It’s time for me to create a new character, and I want your help! Build me a build, and earn my eternal gratitude!

Here are some tips to help you help me:

    * I have access to 32 point builds, but no gear.
    * I don’t do well worrying about other people in the group (keeping up buffs, healing).
    * I’m intrigued by a melee/caster combo, but am horrible at managing my spell point pool (also horrible at managing clickies or anything else with limited use).
    * I see myself enjoying a ranged character.
    * I like to be awesome.

Hi Welcome Denxien.

Thank you to everyone for your help and input.  However some of you all missed that I am looking for the PASSIVE feat.  I think I'm going to start off with three fighter lives for the to-hit and +3 to stunning fist dc.  Since I have all the monk gear I'll try perhaps a 12 fighter 6 ranger 2 monk for my first life-I'll see how that goes Smiley.

My SF DC is just a little over 39 (with +10 HW's) and I land it frequently on epic. Is +3 to dc going to give you that much? The +3 to hit will be a bonus at times for sure. What do you think about the pally healing amp past life bonus? I don't have any high lvl wf, so I am wondering if that would be helpful?

Healing amp does stack, but it all stacks by multiplying, so it's significantly more useful for a Monk/HotD Paladin/Human/etc. than for a WF.

Three Paladin past lives at 5% each, 40% Human healing amp and 10%, 20% and 30% healing amp from items comes out to...
1*1.05*1.05*1.05*1.40*1.10*1.20*1.30 = 278% healing amp
Without the Paladin past lives, that same human would have gotten 242% healing amp.

Three Paladin past lives at 5% each, WF with Healer's Friend II and a 10%, 20% and 30% healing amp from items comes out to...
1*1.05*1.05*1.05*0.50*1.20*1.10*1.20*1.30= 119% healing amp
Without the Paladin past lives, that same WF would have gotten 103% healing amp.

I think that Paladin past lives would have been fine at 10% even if that means Lithic will eventually end up with a character that is "overpowered".  5% is just kind of pathetic.

I agree-5% is to low, 10% would be worth it.  A barb past life of 10 hp is garbage as well, but 20 hp might have made it worth it as well.  I think the devs had the right idea on some of the past life passive feats, but should have made them alittle more worth achieving.

Hi Welcome Denxien.

This confirms all of my theories on the developers.  Any fucktard that is to lazy to use their fucking brain to create their own build should play a different MMO.

This explains why Denxien is particularly spiteful towards AoK.
