Dumbest F#cking spells in the game. by level/class (Read 4113 times)

	We all play casters of some sort..some spell casting ability from rangers, pallies to wiz/sorcs and cleric/fvs... what is the dumbest f#cking spell(s) in your book and why? Please add class and level if you can. For me, any spell that deals with Hit Dice is just f#cking dumb considering the game does not actually use hit dice for mobs...it uses CR. And the Hit Dice spells are so low they are useless in almost all cases unless you are in a 1st level dungeon

	Merfolk's Everyone who could use the + to swim to not drown has either underwater breath clickies/pots/etc or is wearing the UA permaversion. The rest are WF. Thus, useless. Wizard level 1, and it uses a material component. Hypnotic Pattern Yeah, it could in theory be a decent mass CC spell....but it's a damn annoying bad LSD trip. Quote: A twisting pattern of subtle, shifting colors weaves through the air, fascinating targets within it. Subtle my ass. Wizard 2 Sleet Storm It's Grease with blue vision! If there's one spell I am sure would gaurantee to land my wizards on everyone's DNG list, it's that. It's not on my books yet, but I'm likely to just skip over that one. Wiz 3 Fire Trap ...seriously? Freaking MAGIC MISSILE does more damage than this! And Fire trap is on the same level as Symbol of Flame, which reads like it does the same thing but with more burning agony involved. Just...sad. Wiz 4

	Death to undeath level 6 spell maybe 7th Every level 8th spell save polar ray which is the only one I really pay attention to. Its why I dont fight playing sorcs much anymore since I know which spells I only use on my wizards.

	My vote is for Spawn Screen. "Prevents one ally per caster level from rising as undead. Certain rare, extremely powerful undead can circumvent this protection." I honestly have to say that as of yet I have never seen a party member rise as undead. The only mobs I can remember that even have an attack that can do this to a player is the wraiths in Deleras with their touch attack, which wears off within a few seconds anyways. And honestly, even if a party member happens to die while suffering wraiths touch, having to kill one more wraith is not that huge a deal. Kit

Necropolis 2 has several of them. Agree on the rest. I hear that the new summend umbral worg does this attack, so when your enemies die, they spawn shadows. Nice one if you are going to do quick slayers.

He gets the intent across so that he can offend people who don't like the word "fucking" and then he swaps out one letter so that he can offend people who don't like the PCificiation of society. Like the baby glass spiders in Redfang, they might not actually increase your kill count. Something worth checking into maybe.

Recall to D and you're right around the corner from the weapon vendor, AH and mailbox. Just make sure to put it faaaaaar away from resurrection on your hot bar. Or, you know, you might go to raise a guildie in part 2 of shroud and find yourself suddenly in a strange temple wondering what just happened. Not that that's ever happened to me >.>

The sad thing is, I think the shroud group I accidentally did that in thinks that I did it on purpose, because I was busy yelling at the cock sucker that rolled on my shard and then passed it to the lowest roller after I passed it to him and screwed 6 others out of it that had rolled. To be honest, I was enjoying giving him shit for it too much to have dropped group over it, but I'm sure I got black listed by someone that night who figured it was a rage quit over the matter.
