3 day ban here.

Never used a Draught of Midnight, so not related to that.

Update 7.1 mentions not being able to use hirelings in the summoning chamber in future, could that be it?

Yup, I was posting, then got kicked from the forums. Try to log back on. It then directs me to the billing site, which gives me a 404 error. They must be swamped! Assholes!

Lots of guildies got the email.

1 guildie on a 3 day ban and one on a 5 day ban.

People I really don't like here list is small.  Not that you or anyone should care, but for me it is Calvet, because he's stupid in a bitchy drama way, and Breaken, but he is a liar and a blunt, inelegant angry guy

yes 3 day ban here also...and seems the posts regarding this have been pulled from the ddo forum also.
Kind of smells of either cover-upo or hacking or disgruntled employee to me

Well, I joined the banned club....

Banned Until
11/12/2010 9:46:50 PM US EST

No email or explaination of course

And they wait until customer service is gone when the mass booting starts.

Sad thing is I left the Lame Mabar event because of the pathetic drop rates of motes and relics while the 25% xp event was going on.

It seems like if there was something nefarious going on, there would be at least one post saying, "You all know what you did, live with it." or something to that affect.

Your Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach account has been suspended as a result of a  confirmed Player Code of Conduct violation.

This suspension is for 30 days .

Specifically, a Game Master determined that you Recently we conducted an investigation into an exploit that was being utilized in Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited, involving our recent Mabar, The Endless Night Festival.  As a result of that investigation, your account has been identified in utilizing this exploit.

Please be advised that use of an exploit is strictly prohibited by our Code of Conduct:

“17.  You will not exploit, distribute or publicly communicate any game error, miscue or bug which gives an unintended advantage within the Dungeons & Dragons Online game world. Bugs should be reported via the Ingame Bug Reporting Form.”

Any further violations on this account will result in a permanent suspension.

You can find more information regarding the associated policy at the following URL: http://www.ddo.com/component/content/article/467-code-of-conduct
Our ultimate goal is to provide an appropriately safe, fun, and engaging experience for our entire player community. To that end, the Player Code of Conduct must be enforced.

If you have any information that you feel would alter the decision made in this action, please visit http://turbine.com/support, and follow the links to the In-Game Support help page to submit your appeal. Note that all account actions are taken only after a significant amount of research and verification is performed to ensure proper Code of Conduct enforcement. In addition, if you have received a temporary suspension, it will expire automatically - you do not need to contact us to have a temporary suspension removed at its conclusion.

Turbine In-Game Support Team

Not sure what its about. I sat afk in a lot of guild groups for hours, dual boxed most of it. Crafted my shit, and thats it. Most of the shit isnt that great, I only did it because I was at my fathers house that weekend working out some of his network problems. If I had a decent internet connection I would have never done any of it Sad

Second acct got a 3 day ban.

I think from the arbitrary way the variety of bans and warnings have occurred over the past few hour. That this is clearly an attack on the turbine system carried out by someone who clearly has the talent to both enter their systems and "exploit" the various methodologies to cause as much commotion as possible. One can speculate about this being disgruntled ex employees, hackers, general nasty people. The point remains that Turbine have been far too slow to either establish a clear communication with their established user base, or solve the problem by reinstatement of the said banned accounts. To carry out such a "mass banning" in relation to what to all is an "unknown and unexplained exploit" could be said to be financial and public relation suicide on the part of Turbine.
As one of those who has received such a 3 day ban for no apparent reason other than attending their mabar event. I take no pleasure in advising my colleagues at the "BBC Click Online" program of this evenings events, with the hope they will cover it in their next program.
...and i so advise...

To me, it is interesting that Tarrant's last post (Oct 29th) was smack-dab in the middle of the Mabar event...

I got banned too, 3 days....first time ever, no infractions previously or anything. How the hell can they ban without explanation or recourse? I don't even know why. I got my motes mostly from trade channel, selling large ingredients. Never used a hireling in chamber (I hate them things) did drink a couple of draughts occasionally.... I'm very confused and mightily pissed off.

Anyway, for my part, I've sent them an email demanding they cancel my VIP subscription immediately. I won't be a part of the profits of a company who do something like this.

What strikes me as weird is the fucked up copy paste job they did in that e-mail.

"determined that you Recently we conducted "

What the fuck does that even MEAN??
