Quicken + cleric (Read 4414 times)

	I know quicken is recommended pretty much constantly and I had planned to take it, didn't pick it up until 12th....holy crap does it make BB so much easier...though forgetting to turn it off for buffs is something I'll have to remember. Would swapping mental toughness for maximize be a good idea? For metamagics I have extend and the RS required max healing. And still have the aura from when it was part of RS I...is the healing % increase significant enough in practical play to actually take RS II or could I get away with just keeping burst/aura from RS I? (Yeah, I play on a casual basis so it was a long time between 6 and 12.)

	Haha...I'd picked feats worse than I had thought...turns out I had improved mental toughness, too. That's gone and I can do another swap in, what, 3 days? and get rid of MT. That cleric has been my 2nd account 2-box support, so I only just started trying the BB-kiting routine. I did pick stats and have been following recommended skill progressions, taking some UMD so concentration hasn't been maxed...found that to suck really fast when solo. I have yet to start PuGging in earnest based on limited play time and when I get my 2 player guild to 25 I'll try to convince my friend (DDO being his first MMO experience) that our 12-ish level characters should find a larger, compatible guild. (Last I heard guild decay was off, so stopping at 25 isn't necessary...however I expect it to return at some point.) I will not inflict my inexperience in running the cleric on anyone else...I'll practice better SP and aggro management first. My main in DAoC was a cleric so the healbot aspect...watching red bars...I do have experience with (and buffing, but buffing there was much cheaper)...though I'm really digging the offensive spells and look forward to mixing healing/CC/nuking. So...if you still had the aura from the 1st version of RS would you take the 2nd level of RS?

	Not so sure why the hate for mental toughness and improved mental toughness. Yes the second level of radiant servant is worth it in my opinion. My aura crits about 40 percent of the time so thats atleast 60 hp a tick for the non metallics around me. As for my seven feats mental toughness, improved mental toughness, quicken, Empower healing, empower, maximize and extend. Not in that order of course. Setting at 390 hp unbuffed and 2022 sp. No GS SP or HP items. Still need to get one more ToD ring and missing scroll of env. cloak onnce all is said and done I should be sitting at 450 HP unbuffed unless I pull a plus 4 con tome along the way which will put me at 470 HP.

	I have 3 days before I could swap, I'll road test what I have and see....I actually didn't know what I'd swap it for, anyway. Yeah, aura hitting at 12-13 now, some crits would be nice. Edit: I definitely won't be able to rely on gear to make up any differences.

I have never actually did the math pallai but my aura crits a considerable amount of the time and seeing as Cru is a TR cleric I am pretty sure I can tell when it is being affected by healing amp and when it is not.

	So I've only run a couple of quests underlevel so far to get elites done and the quickened/maxed BB was sooo much fun...and faster than meleeing through, at least it felt a lot faster. More fun to come.
