LOTRO .dat file defrag (Read 2722 times)

	Evidently LOTRO has a defrag utility for .dat files. Long story short - updates make .dat files (basically database files) fragmented. These lends to stutter, and long load screens. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=290143&highlight=dat+file I am running the defrag at this moment.

Note it says that the tool should not be used for DDO files so use at your own risk also the tool has to downloaded on a internet browser other than IE.

	did it earlier no idea if it helped or not already had the fastest loading screens of anyone ive played with but it didn't fuck anything up so meh what else can ya ask for

My initial boot to the character screen, zoning load times, and character switching all faster. If you have been playing without a reinstall I suppose it would help a lot. My game got loaded over a year ago.

	Used the tool myself and it works I guess. Loading times seem a bit faster and it also saved me 4 gigs on my c: drive. The last one alone means /win.
