Ran a DQ elite, make it clear at the start I'm looking for the chain and no one else says they need it. I'm also the only in the party that can put it to good use.

Comes to the end one drops and it goes up for roll, 4 fucking casters rolled on it. Caster called Hallaster beat my roll, I asked why an 18/2 Wiz/Monk needs a Marilith chain and he said to use bastard swords.

I was pissed to say the least.

I must have four or five in banks right now on different girls o' course, same with scale. Used to be few people wanted them before epics mine all older than dirt ... now if only the stars would align and drop me seals and scrolls.

And when I put something up for roll, if it's an important item for certain classes, I resrict rolls to those classes.
If I pull a Torque, I'll say it's up for roll for primamry casters.  Pallys and Rangers don't count.  Anyone else with a blue bar is free to roll.  Anyone that rolls anyway simply gets ignored.
It isn't difficult to set standards if you want to.
Your loot, your decision.  Just "decide" to not let certain classes roll on it.

That said, why would anyone bother to say that they were also looking for the Marilith Chain and why would you think that mentioning that you were looking for it would grant you some kind of mystical dibs?

Arcane Spell Failure says that it's an exceptionally shitty item for an arcane caster, but seriously, when I went into ADQ, I'd sometimes mention that I was hoping for a Torc.  The fact tha no one else said that they were looking for a Torc didn't somehow lead me to believe that it would be handed over to me if it did drop for someone.

Yes, it sucks that it went to a moron.  On the other hand, maybe he isn't a moron.  The reason that he gave sounds more like he was jerking your chain than just plain stupid.

A week or so ago i was in a vod that consisted mostly of some guild called legends, iirc. At the end someone pulled the goggles and they go up for roll; pretty much the whole raid party rolls for it.. healers arcanes melees... but when they are about to get passed to the winning roll he goes "no wait i don't need that, pass it to the next" this repeats something like 4 fucking times (if not more). in the end it gets proxy won for the guy with one of the lowest rolls by a guildie of his... woopie...

Anyway- these two occasions are pretty much the only ones where i can recall any foul play or greedy/stupid looting on khyber (over something like 20 +-10 completions for most raids). Maybe i've been lucky

Oh and i lost the ring of thelis to a barb once.. Hope that SR22 comes in handy dude.
