Same message as it is every time.  Honestly, instead of having multiple messages to address Scheduled/Unscheduled/DEAR LORD WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!?!!oneone!!  Maintenance, they should just take the word "Scheduled" out of it. 

If they need someone that could dick around with MS Paint for like 5 minutes to make it happen, I'm willing to offer my services.

See, this is why Turbine pisses me off.  They have a team that does smoke n mirrors and it started to get bad with Soon (TM) on Vast & Mysterious and that other stupid Super Secret Suprise (a cock in your eyes)! :-0 <===8

But when they started playing smoke n mirrors when they fucked up their super-sized (tradeable) quivers & bags, jacked the price up and didn't tell us why until they removed the item a week or two later (and then lowered the price), well that's where I really started to get angry.  Not necessarily because I would have bought more, but because they found the mistake and decided to raise the price without explaining, causing initial confusion and anger at being "overcharged."  Later they lowered and confirmed they were now btc instead of bta, and due to the mistake they raised the price.

Or they could have done the upfront and honest thing and simply disabled the sales of the fucked-up items instead of harvesting a quick-turn cash cow on those who saw bta and wondered if they'd get to keep the bta items.  Turns out they did -- and paid a little extra for the temporary privillege.  I've never seen that kind of shadow boxing by a game company before, but the microtransactions are enabling them to haggle at a point where lying is profitable for the company (or at least being relatively dishonest).

Oh yeah, how the WOT above is related to this: obviously this wasn't scheduled maintenance -- but to save face, it is now.  That and/or they're being incredibly lazy.

Hopefully they extend the xp and mana  pot sales to compensate for today's downtime.
