That's ironic....
Also explains some things -- I thought the PORK (with a pig picture) on army bases in Iraq at the chow hall underneath specific food options was only for the local TCNs from various countries like Turkey, India, Pakistan, Iraq, etc. I guess it was for kosher-searching people as well.
Like, chewing gum is not-kosher (contains pork). Odd eh? It was very shocking seeing a pig underneath the Ice Breakers option.
The thing I hated about boot camp, was pork as the only meat option. I had to eat so many fucking peanuts and peanut butter. On the bright side, it did lead to a pretty funny situation.
Now just as a forewarning, if you are an idiot, you shouldn't read this.
Peanuts have salt, apparently my battle buddy did not know this and I figured everyone with a full brain cell does. Anyways, he asked me why I ate a lot of peanuts. So i told him they were the best protein resource I had since I do not eat pork or pork products. He decided to help himself to a full bowl of them, and proceeded to dehydrate within the next two hours. Nothing like marching around and watching him just fall down, he almost obtained an article 15 for that shit until explained the situation to the drill sergeants. In which case they mocked him for not tasting the salt on them and called him an idiot.
