Title not related.

I saw brief mention on the game forums of something regarding the Paladin past life feat, and some sort of DPS implications that were so awesome they could only be communicated in PM.

Can anyone fill me in and tell me why I need to get a paladin past life next? Tongue

also, I heard there was drama here. It's 7 am, and I can't sleep. Give me some drama.

This is the PM that I sent him:

Holy Sword is a 4th level spell for a Pally, which means he has to be 14th level to cast it.
BUT
Once it's created, it has no ML.
So the LAST thing you do before you TR is fill your entire inventory with blessed sword mats, then head off to an explorer area or enter a quest, then turn all of those blessed swords into Holy Swords.

A common misconception about a Holy Sword is that it disappears upon logging out.
It actually disappears when you log back in again.
So when you immediately TR upon logging out, all of those Holy Swords go into your TR cache.

Pull one or two out every time you log in.
Running around Korthos with a +5 Holy Burst xXx is AWESOME!

Yeah, I don't know if it would be considered an exploit or not, but I figure it's safer not to talk about it on the forums, lest they get changed to have an ML.

I mentioned the Paladin Past Lives without giving the details because I don't know how picky the mods would be there and I'm actually not at all sure how many infractions I currently have.

It's not as cool . . . but you can do the same thing with Arcane Archers stacks of +5 returning arrows.

Depending on how many you make, and how fast you level, you have 2 options:
1.  Create enough Holy Swords to last you until level 12, when you break out the GS.  If you level fast this is easy.  If you level slowly it may be an issue.  If you level fast, see below.
2.  Create a lot more than needed, and have quite a few left over for your next life or two as well.

That's why I said FILL your inventory with them.  Drop everything not bound or BTA into your shared bank.  Throw everything BTC into your personal bank.
That should leave you at least 4 full tabs for Holy Swords.  That's a minimum of 80.
How many gaming sessions does it take you to get to level 12?
There should be enough for at least two lives, minimum, if you don't fucking lollygag your way to 12.
