	Okay, is this for real or is it a joke? Lots of quite respectable people seem to think it's the case now. What kind of evidence is there that it's true?

	on elite your loot table includes a higher chance for tomes theory is less chance of tome = more chance of raid items My first toon has 20 elite completions... litany from end reward. My healer, 2nd toon, had 17 completions.. all hard. Embers, Staff, 2 pairs of gloves, Litany, Enduring Conviction and given away quivers, pantheons, other litanys... Give it a shot dude.

My FvS got 2 LotD, Embers, Cloak and at least 3 Quivers in 19 Elite Runs. A longsword in the hard run I did. And once I diploed the chest and saw 3 LotD at once! (was a blast and is a true story) The tome theory sounds not really right, to see the influence from increasing a terrible low chance to a almost terrible low chance on the whole loot table, you gotta run a lot of Abbots to prove anything. Especially if you see the fact that elite should have a general higher chance to drop anything named. Saying 'it's Turbine, it is probably bugged' sounds far more right. Some folks from Lava Divers did at least a few test runs on hard, if there is something fishy maybe one of them knows more.

	Unfortunately, because of the raid timers no one actually runs it enough times on each difficulty and keeps any actual data on the drops, so all we have is anecdotal evidence and personal recollections. Even if you did keep accurate data, you would need hundreds of runs at each difficulty to really do any valid analysis. Anything else is just luck and probability. I personally find it hard to believe Turbine would purposefully give out greater rewards on lower difficulty settings. Could it be a mistake? More possible, but still unlikely. Even for Turbine.

	I noticed this general idea pop up a while after casual was introduced. Even though raids can't be run on casual, maybe its existence offset the old loot tables. i.e. hard would be the 'third' difficulty, and would drop what elite used to. Though, I don't know what that would mean for elite, but it does still drop named loot.

Since there are 12 people in a raid, you'd only need to run it X/12 times to achieve statistical significance. X ~ 20/(~20% chance) ~ 100. In other words, you'd only need to run it about ~10-20 times each on hard and elite. Still a pretty long time to gather data, but do-able. From what I was gathering, someone actually kept track of this and had some hard data. (I think it was the leader of loreseekers or wanderlust?) I'm hoping someone has access to that data and is willing to share

	we have the same rumor going around in Argo had it for quite a long time too for Titan when we were farming it for chattering ring and belt of brute strength Personally, I think its BS.

Hard dropped more named items than Normal and Elite dropped more named items than Hard in ADQ2 Beaver's Fate HoX VoD ToD And probably Abbot and Titan Awakes, but I really didn't look at that them since those listed above + Shroud are the only raids I actually run.

	I don't believe it's true and even with many people documenting drop rates it will be impossible to know if it was true without a huge sample size. Of course I've also had people tell me on Argo that drop rates for raid loot does not increase at all based on difficulty, so they just did the raid on normal. (thank you to random members of The Ancients for making me laugh).
