Hey,

Do any of you guys have any info on this guild?

Had a couple of complaints in MAC today - first was for 4 or 5 of their DPS /deathing at 10% (which I wrote off as acceptable behaviour, if a tad premature in a random PUG). Second said they DCed as a group after part IV, having hit the altar to Harry so only they got to loot the chests in part IV.

The first sounds like a misunderstanding / prematurity, the second sounds like griefing. What say you, people of Khyber, any thoughts on them?

(I wasn't in either of these runs, just fishing for info)

They looted the chests, then hit the altar, then all DC'd as a group?
Bullshit, plain and simple.  Someone hit the altar and wouldn't own up to it.  That's what happened.  Period.

If you accidentally hit the altar early?  Well, it happens.
If you don't own up to it, and instead create some ridiculous story that all of you DC'd when no one else did?  You're a fucking douchebag.
If the rest of the guys go along with it?  They're all fucking douchebags.

I thought this thread was going to be Tere talking about half naked men.  I don't think I'm disappointed, though.

All DCing at the same time? Sounds a bit off to me.  If they were all using the same internet line, maybe. Other than that it would have to be very good timing to pull that off.

If they were indeed from Brazil, it could be their Internet backbone failed. This could cause their entire country to lose Internet connectivity.

Quick coda to this: I then saw a 1-4 farm up by them, and had a little word about 1-4 farming being clearly labelled being a good thing, and early finishing in a completion run a bad thing. The person in question was very reasonable when I pointed this out, so hopefully the word will get back to them.

I already had them on that girl. No tomes, so another Dreamspitter.

+3 Int tome dropped for me (already munched one from the 40th Shroud earlier) so put it up for roll, stupidly not saying this life only (although I did say roll only if you need it). The Tukaw build who does nothing but PvP in the lobster won it, guild run so I felt I had to honour it, then said he "was going to TR into a wizard".

I'd bloody better see him do it, is all I'm saying, given he beat out a current life TRed wizard who has helped me tons to get it...

Maretta or something like that, from Brazilian Warriors, joins a speedrun, which was clearly announced in lfm, party and on voice. Loots everything anyway and curiously disconnects some time before Harry dies in part 5.
Also piked part 3 in the water

Brazilians you say?

That sounds an awful lot like a guild we have on Orien that also identifies themselves as brazilian.  They certainly have notoriety here and many people do not accept them to groups anymore because of less than stellar past experiences like the OP's.
There are of course exceptions, but seriously it's like all brazilians are shit players.

Apparently this isn't a server specific phenomenon.

Brazilians are actually very, very good gamers.

They just don't see anything wrong with screwing over others to get what they want.

I stopped grouping with the Brazilian Guild players unless I JOIN a Brazilian guild run.  If I join one of their runs, they can do whatever they want to do because I know what is going to happen anyway.

I'm sorry, but I might have screwed Marreta over. He did that silly disconnect thing yesterday while I was on my cleric. The group decided to wait for him, and about 3-5 minutes later, he came back, saw we were still here, and disconnected again.

I was making a new item on my cleric that run. A few minutes after we finished, he came back. I said hi, and he disconnected again. Another five minutes later, he was back on. End result: He got completion, but no end chests.

Actually, given he just stood there doing nothing but saying "HELP" for about 5 minutes while I explained several times how to press the two buttons needed to finish his puzzle, I don't feel too bad about it. Just sorry nobody here will get to enjoy his ... unique playstyle for a few days.

Brazilian gamers have quite a reputation in pretty much every online game. They are good players but, as mentioned before, they will do anything and everything to screw you over to get what they want.

Obviously that is not true for 100% of them, but it seems like a majority are like that.

Note for those who come across Brazillion Warriers... I just ran in what was meant to be a semi-speed shroud

Deconned from there did not do what he was told and essentially griefed part 2.

I am then fairly sure he hit the portal earlier before anyone had shrine in part 4.

If they hit your lfm I suggest that you have a chat with them and make sure that you get their assurance that they will follow instructions.

English may not be their first language but still I did type in chat

ok... my guildie just commented the following: "in a shroud, pulls part 2 agro, dies heaps, in part 5 we were saving orc, he tries to kill it and pull agro off the kiter, he then died, then res him just at the end, and he hits the alter before people out out but after they took d door"

Yeah maybe just don't take them in your shroud until they've had a bit of a talking to...

Consider them blacklisted forever from any raid or quest I lead. After I talk to a few people, probably from all ER, Prophets, WL etc runs too hehe.

For future reference:
/stuck takes you back after using a ddoor, so if you take a ddoor and someone hits the altar before you leave, /stuck and at least go get your chests.
