Two new items can now be purchased from Silver Flame and Yugoloth patron vendors called "Mark of the Silver Flame" and "Mark of the Yugoloth" that can be used for high-level Cannith crafting recipes. These items can also be found randomly in chests and end rewards. Randomly-acquired marks are unbound, while vendor-purchased marks are Bound to Account.

Yay they're listening!

/s <- you dropped this.

Unless 'grind the same favor amount, or hope to get a rare drop' is somehow listening to 'why are you making this another pain-in-the-ass no-challenge grind for crap we can buy off the AH right now anyway'

meh, all honesty, I could actually see that if they put holy holyburst, or good + silver alongside one of those rare ingredients, for instance to, y'know, actually address the 'problem'.

Of course, I suppose since my crafter's had a +2 guild-slotted holyburst of pure good repeater since before he could equip it that I grabbed off the auction house for 20k plat, I must be an evil exploitative powergamer. Roll Eyes Grin

I really hope that they figure crafting out soon. I don't see any realistic solutions for endgame players.

Good, then maybe people will stop saying, "Hey I am gimp ass retard and I would like a DW.  Yes, I am too fucking stupid to run TR a couple times to get some."

Unfortunately you still have to have a character that is pretty much maxed out in silver flame and amrath favor. Might not be a problem for some but still has been looked at unfavorably at in the general population.

I agree with this whole heartily.  When it comes to crafting in pretty much any game there is going to be a grind of some sort.  While DDO has in the beginning stated a no-grind game, it can't keep that up and still be functional as we have all seen the grind creep in here.

As you stated at least when folks do the grind there for their crafting stuff they can at least better their characters survivability and skills for our sakes.   Cool

Nothing I hate more then blasting through a TR with an LFM that says, "Zerg, know way/quest, be SS."  Then some worthless bastard says, "I got enervated, can I get a restore?  I have 4 negs."

The reason is, because then I have to stop and type out something similar to, "Death cures all things" and then continue on.  Well, unless I am in a bad mood.  Then I pick up my mic and let em have it.  This is more fun.  Either way the quest takes longer.

Really? Autaoattack every 3 days while the hjeeler spams a couple mass heal buttons is more difficult than clicking actively a few hundred thousand times once you've accumulated enough essences and plat to level in order to make shit?

Fuckin delusional.
