404error is running the crafting testing on Lam this patch.

The first attempt at a patch was. I also think someone low in the chain would have to take the fall for the "use raid loot" idea.

Actually from what I heard was that a test patch was accidentally uploaded instead of the normal non raid loot patch. But I don't have a good source just rumors.

I would go with that but when we (players) first said "whoa, this is dumb", Madfloyd went all "Nu uh and we aren't changing it. Suck it noobs."

True, true, I am not really saying what was done was right, just what I heard from the rumor mill.  But if you look at it when Madfloyd stated that the patch would roll on. They then stealth changed the patch and loaded it with a different build that didn't have the raid loot on live but with the bugged interface.  Hence the omg we screwed crafting really bad crash the whole system.

Trust me I don't like defending stuff that I don't like but I do love this game, and I try to be optimistic/dumb when it comes to looking at the future of this game.

Personally I think they realized "Oh crap, they are crafting boss beaters that are better than green steal, quick do something to the recipes that will stop them until we figure out what to do!"  and then they put all the raid loot into the recipes.

I mean really.. chattering ring for a greater halfling bane weapon?  Someone has a sense of humor!

Agreed, the simple fact that they never ever consider that players only want the best item/optomized item never ceases to amaze me... white dragon armor being +5 str or +3 con on daggertooths belt, I mean come on Devs only people that want to be mocked use that kind of shit as ideal gear
