As much fun as 50ac on a sorc would be, what feat did he drop to take Dodge, and why not just build a self healing caster with high hp?

And when you use the lovely air savant DoT spells, Spell Like Abilities and Area of Effect spells in an area where there is no cover. Lord have mercy on your soul in end game content as you still get smacked and turn into a soulstone.

I played a dex based caster for the first years of this game and it worked wonderful. Then the game changed and it’s changed again more recently and if you practice dex based casters you better be good at being a Benny Hill show imitater.

Because you aren’t going to live long with a 50 ac and dumped Constitution in DDO end game. I am sorry I tried it IT JUST DON’T WORK unless you got better than average skills at maneuvering your character.

You keep preaching not to follow the common wisdom of do not dump constitution. Guess what you don’t want people how to tell you to build your characters? Don’t tell us how to build ours, we have a playstyle too and it seems to get things done also.

The best race for building a Sorcerer is the Drow Elf, especially for players who seek to maximize the Sorcerer's DPS capabilities. The reason for this is that Drow Elves receive bonuses to Charisma and Dexterity, the primary and secondary statistics (respectively) for a Sorcerer.

I like arguing merely for the sake of travelling down the path of the another person's grasp of reality; each and every one of us has our own that we cling to. Ought we to question those that pose a difference of opinion in order to close, or better understand, certain gaps in judgement or certain reality?

Response: Some things are merely meant to be filler (sadly), not always viable. See feat "Power Critical"

A 50 dex will be useful around normal and maybe some hard Gianthold quests, a 50 will not be useful once you start going to places such as: The Vale, Amrath, Inspired Quarter, Dreaming Dark, etc.

Blur or displacement along with Heavy Fort (till fort gets changed) are very solid ways I stay alive.

Combine the above with fire Shield scrolls and some other basic stuff, Turbine has given us an opportunity to be very self-sufficient as well as pure DPS.

Makes sense to me.

I have grouped with these Lumberjack Plainsmen and while I prefer to zerg, these guys are too slow to dungeon crawl. I did a 97 minute Coal Chamber with them.
