things that made my pants shrink after skimming some googled artificer stuff.

slayer arrows
blade barrier
umd and rogue skills
repair spells
extra ring?!? (this sounds like super hax)
ability to gain the traits of a constuct (be cool if this was part of a prestige that would allow something like repairing yourself as a fleshy)
buffs all over
bonus metamagic feats

almost sounds like everything ive wanted in a character since all the specialist classes are my favorites.

You might make a crafting bot, but there's currently no game mechanic reason to do it, and there's no reason to gimp that character's questing abilities in favor of crafting.  In fact, making your main your crafter makes sense since it's less passing around of stuff.

My crafter is my Barbarian primarily because when crafting was first introduced, it was all BtC, and he had the most immediate need for crafted items (boss beaters).

I'm not done TRing and I don't trust Turbine to not mess things up.  I've no plans at all to TR my crafter.  All my others I plan on a past life or two.

Gnome Artificers were my second favorite pnp characters, right behind halfling rogues. I want gnomes!!!!! I'll be making an arty ASAP. If I like it enough and can pull it off, he might multiclass as bard Smiley

It was always fun to have everyone fighting in front while I built shit from scratch (cannon from a log).

My DM's hate me within 3 sessions or I'm not playing at 100% Smiley

Not dildos, but randomly attaching rockets to houses was always entertaining.

Never did that...far too subtle.

I played a priest of battleragers one time and a friend played a barbarian battlerager.  We stocked up on greek fire in town which had the DM scratching his head a bit.  My friend had a cursed dwarven thrower that again the DM didn't quite understand why we wanted it.

Then we get to the first fight.  There's a person being held hostage that we're supposed to save...only the DM doesn't tell us that.  There's just a bunch of bad guys standing in front of us...cast a quick protection from fire on my friend, light his backpack (full of the greek fire) on fire, and have him launch himself with the cursed dwarven thrower at the bad guys.

BOOM!

No more bad guys.  No more hostage.  DM aneurism.  Very stoked battleragers whooping it up at the carnage. Smiley

Sounds about right.

Minor Telekinesis + Tensor's Floating Disc/100k sewing needles.

I don't usually get involved in a game anymore unless I'm the DM. Sad

Tenser's Floating Disk specifically mentions that it's 1 inch thick in the middle and says nothing at all about the edges being infinitely thin.  It also states that it disappears if you try to move it out of spell range or more than 3 feet from the ground.

And Telekinesis specifically mentions a limit of 15 thrown objects when using the "Violent Thrust" option.  Sad

Your DM was awful, awful, awful.  Sad

Yes.

I read it better than him and he was being lazy, so I embellished.

Also, just because it says something, doesn't mean you can 't modify it Smiley

Edit: 1 inch in the center doesn't mean anything on the sides. And halflings are excellent targets for the quick vorpal.

Also, you can ride on it. Like a magical carpet made of death.

So far, what I got out of this, was we are looking at another Rogue like class, with the ability to make clickies.

I Noticed the ability to make a clickie was missing from Cannith Crafting, this would explain that.

Anyway. Not that shabby. I will most likely roll up one, but I doubt their will be flying penis grenades or Dildo Missiles all over the Harbor anytime soon.

Too bad about that.

Penis grenades would be amazing fun in PvP.

Yeah, just noticed that. I wonder if the OP got a little "too close for comfort?"

I'm thinking so because there have been Artificer threads before and they didn't get nuked. I wonder if it's proximity in time to the actual announcement was the deciding factor?

I posted a thread that listed all the classes I didn't think was the next class.

Naturally, it was a list of all 3.5 classes except Artificer.

Just disappeared; no nasty-gram though.

There's a thread up now that predicts Artificer is next...

Man, by the Mods' own actions they're confirming Artificers are going to be part of U11.

It doesn't take a soothsayer to see the truth in that. It's bloody damn obvious!

I'll bet some dillhole from above (Fernando possibly) just gave them orders to suppress all these kinds of threads and they're following orders like good little soldiers despite common sense.

Be interesting to see what active and passive past lives they get.  Any current completionist who gobbled up their +4 tomes will be looking forward to this as much as a turkey looks forward to Xmas.
