Dammit. I know exploits are a bad bad thing. But I'm totally jelly about ^

No need, when I ragequit they were all in my TR bank.  Which means, forever lost.  As was many epic and raid items.  At least I have something to grind again, I guess.

Really, it wasn't even one of the better exploits.  The BEST exploit ever was the shared bank and end reward lists.

They should take their ban and suck it. Not for the exploit per se but because they got caught It doesn't matter how they got caught, it's their fault. Trusted the wrong person, made to obvious guild/character levels, well sucks to be you . If you want to use an exploit feel free, but take any consequences like a man.

If you ain't cheating you ain't trying, if you get caught you weren't trying hard enough.

Ragequit without deleting isn't a ragequit.

You could drag end rewards and drop them into your shared bank.  You could then hit the "x" for the end reward window, then talk to the guy to open it again, and repeat.  Stock up your shared bank with raid gear or +4 tomes.  This was an awesome exploit.

I love exploits, all of em.  Getting caught just means I told the wrong person about it, that is all.

For both you and stainer, I am sure there is a website out there that explains how to find exploits in mmos.  I believe stainer said this was his first mmo sometime ago?

Anywho - mine is just gaming experience and curiosity, other mmos and platforms.  Also, for some exploits I was told about through an acquaintance.   Other then that, exploit early, and exploit often.  99% of the time, they are worth the measly 3 day ~ 2 week ban.

I don't care if anyone gets banned or whatnot over it, but I do find using exploits in an MMO to be a bit on the pathetic side, to be honest.  Being able to find bugs in someone's code in order to cheat at a video game isn't exactly difficult and doesn't take a lot of skill, trebly so because 99% of people using exploits just heard about them through someone else.

And really, to what end?  In order to have a few more points in something here and there without having to go through the work?  I take back what I said earlier - it's not a bit on the pathetic side, it's pretty hugely pathetic.  Sad

I will join the ban em wagon as well.  The leader should be banned for bragging about it!  Shut up and enjoy your splendor.  Nothing worse than a loose lipped thief on your team.

I mean really, do the work, everything works out perfect and dingleberry brags to his favorite hooker about his job, she gets pinched and sings.  Team fail due to the canary.

Give the laziest person, the hardest job, and they will find the easiest way to do it!

Is anybody here on Sarlona?  Have you seen 'em around recently?

Not a rhetorical question-  does anybody actually know if anything happened?

I'm on Sarlona, but I would have had to see them around to start with to notice their absence...

Seriously as those alerts for them leveling came up for the higher levels it was pretty much the following in every group and ts that I was in..."Who the hell is in Rebellion?"

THIS. Ban for Bravado.

Exploiting is good.

Bragging about it and getting it taken away from us is the real crime here.

I enjoyed their recruiting thread where they seem to have realized that if they were gonna be a lvl 100 guild they probly should start doing raids or something, and they needed more capped evasion bards.

MyDDO is only mostly broken.

See the "Guild Log" on this page to see that at least some of their members completed quests today:

I looked up my guild and it says we haven't been playing since november 2009.  And we have no rank.  But we are listed in the Thelanis guild list as 32.
