Folllowup testing to my initial note in the Un-Advertised Changes in U11 thread.
http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=340643It looks like the description on Superior Ardor (which now says 50%) is correct, but there is a difference between the numbers I'm getting from Superior Ardor and Superior Potency.
Heal on a guild member with 10% healing amp (from shrine) and I have 40% bonus from enhancements.
150 point Heal * 1.4 * 1.1 = 231 HP
With no potency/etc. gear on, I Heal him for 231 HP.
I borrow an Epic Ornamental Dagger from my Wizard for Superior Potency VI and now me Heals hit him for 313 HP.
That's just 35% more than 231, NOT 50% mor than 231.
When I use my Amrath belt for Superior Ardor VIII, I end up with a 354 point Heal. That's 53% more than 231, so it does look like 50% with some odd rounding.
My conclusion:
Superior Ardor increases healing power by 50% (which matches the new description).
Superior Potency increases spell power in general by 35% (which does NOT match the description which still claims a 50% boost in U11).
If anyone can point out where my numbers are wrong, I'd love to have someone let me know.
Edit2: Justagame pointed out where my math was wrong. It just happened to be a coincidence that the way I was calculating the numbers happened to be VERY close to 50% for the Superior Ardor even though the actual Turbine calculation really is 75.
Nothing to see here. Move along you looky-loos.
