So today KookieKobold moved up from "unhated" (Which is already pretty high up in the DDO employee foodchain with me) right up and into "Awesome".

For taking the time and informing the players that the "to hit" issue that so many are experiencing is infact a genuine problem, and is now being worked on.

"We are fully aware of this issue and are investigating it now"


Which is a hell of a lot better then MajMalphunktion's blanket denial that there is anything wrong at all:

"At this point no hot fix is planned.(Hot fixes are for KABOOM issues, which so far there are none) There is a planned patch in a few weeks.

All of this has been read by QA. WE are not seeing the melee issue, more info in who/what you are doing. My melee characters are working just fine."


Got to love a QA that needs to be told by the players about a problem large enough that manages to effect both melees and spell casters as it somehow managed to slip by his department, but also refuses to even acknowledge the problem exists, once told about the problem he should have already known about.

Imagine, a Turbine staff member informing the forum users what is going on, and answering important questions and addressing legitimate concerns honestly. What a novel approach to the players from a Turbine staff member 

I do hope to see more behavior like this in the future from Turbine staff.
