$34 seems pretty cheap to me.  If you're going to straight up buy that much of a bonus for a MAD class, then I don't see any reason for Turbine to keep the price any lower than that.

Also, I particularly enjoy the fact that Lesser Reincarnation now also removes the Past Life: Artificer feat, so that those +3 tomes turn into +1 tomes for any completionist who does an LR in order to put their shiny new tomes to best use.

I think the price is good. Could be more IMO, but whatevs.

And is the LR removing the feat designed that way? Or an unintended side effect?

Multiple Artificer past lives aren't stacking and someone who LR'd during a non-Artificer life reported losing their Past Life: Artificer (passive) during the LR, so I'm guessing bug.

Seems shockingly fair, if you ask me.  They could have set it a good bit higher.

What the hell build needs 5+ stats to be +3'd, though?  Isn't 4 single tomes cheaper than the supreme?  I haven't actually gotten to see the price of the regular +3s yet.  Tongue

Do you really need more than two +3 tomes on most builds?  The Surpreme is extreme thought I do have a new fighter build that could benefit from four +3 tomes so a Supreme would work.

I bought a ton of them, not gonna lie.   Pugging end-game raids has gotten so painful that if I can avoid that and go right to TRing again it's worth it.

And I'm sure I'll spend way more on dinner and drinks tonight that I did at the DDO store and have less to show for it in the end.

I'll probably grab a supreme for my rogue, she can actually use every stat so it's worth it. Pondering it for my ranger/rogue.

Avoid this - unless EA changes things, the reports are they scan your machine for ALL installed hardware and SOFTWARE, including files (ie music, movies, pictures, ect) and reports this back to their servers.... supposed to be some advanced anti-cheat, but yeah, NO THANKS.  I will be passing BF3 & heading over to what ever new COD is up next (or if it is soon the new CS)

ah - here is what I was looking for
Quote:
Recently it was discovered that Origin's EULA allows Electronic Arts to snoop through the end-user's system -- including installed and uninstalled software -- and send that information to third-party service providers.

"You agree that EA may collect, use, store and transmit technical and related information that identifies your computer (including the Internet Protocol Address), operating system, Application usage (including but not limited to successful installation and/or removal), software, software usage and peripheral hardware, that may be gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, dynamically served content, product support and other services to you, including online services," the agreement reads. "EA may also use this information combined with personal information for marketing purposes and to improve our products and services. We may also share that data with our third party service providers in a form that does not personally identify you. IF YOU DO NOT WANT EA TO COLLECT, USE, STORE, TRANSMIT OR DISPLAY THE DATA DESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION, PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE APPLICATION."

Thought you guys had enough players to not need to pug. Always liked to get in your groups when you had room, which wasn't often.

Schmitty TR'd again, and I have been running a new fighter up with him, so we haven't been at endgame for a bit. He hasn't been playing lately, so I may just finish  that fighter and resume endgame shenanigans until I decide to level an Arty after next update when I can get them with favor.

Kinda funny all the outrage and, now that the price comes out and it's not astronomical, there seems to be less grumbling.

I was not excited about them coming to the store, but I wasn't mad either. So meh. Very tempting to buy on my melee... so I can skip 20th completions on his pally life and get right back into fighter.

No build "needs" any +3 stats.  In fact, +3 stats will make minimal impact, if any.

The most "useful" of the +3 tomes for builds are:

+3 dex - Allows access to the ITWF and GTWF feats with a 14 base.  This saves 2 build points on most races.  As a more specialized use, it can be used to unlock Dodge (requires 13 dex) with minimal investment for Rangers who want the tempest line without spending a lot of points in dex.

+3 int -  Allows access to Combat Expertise with only a 10 INT.  Only saves 1 build point over the more readily available +2 tome, but it can still help on builds that need every point to make things work.

+3 Charisma - Allows access to Divine Might III or IV for less of an investment.  Given that DM III requires an 18 and DM IV requires  a 20, a +3 tome can save 2 or 3 build points.

Of these, the most generally useful would be the Dex tome.  TWF builds are a lot more plentiful than CE using Tanks and Pallys or Clerics that use DM at the highest levels.

All in all, it's a pretty minor impact on any build.  This is a convenience item rather than a necessity.

I am thinking the +3 INT tomes are going to be the hot seller.

Most of caster-types I know would happily sell their souls; a kidney and their firstborn in exchange for another +1 to all their spell DCs. Grin

Don't forget if you get banned from BF3, you also get banned from other games you've paid for as well.

Something as simple as using a mod that you are unaware exists is grounds for this.

It seems silly to assemble the "A-Team" for VoD, Hound and Reaver.  Pretty much only do that for Tower, the epics, and the new stuff.

I pugged 90% or more of my shrouds, vods, hounds, and reavers purely looking for +3 tomes as I got everything I need from these raids (except for my 4 week old Bard).
