Well I got my dragon armor pretty early. Hadn't even found Riften yet. I just started the Thieves Guild quests, so I'll be getting that armor soon.

Oh drat. Apparently Steam is delivering a patch which tethers this to Steam and makes it impossible to apply the user made patch to fix memory problems (caused by having more than 2G addressable memory which I have so apparently I can expect problems). Great. Wish I had turned Steam off after that first authentication.

I have been playing for about 15 hrs at this point and other than the initial dragon I hadn't run across any and then two in the matter of 20 minutes.




They all have specific spawn points, but very far wandering ranges.  After you locate the spawn points of most of them (not all of them are fast travel locations) you can just hit each one up every 10 days.  10 days is the time it takes for things to respawn.  Ahh, unlimited dragon souls.

Steam has single-handedly killed itself with skyrim for me.  Every few hours it randomly closes.  There patch is going to make it worse.  Next time, I am getting it from the store.

Hate to break it to you, but Skyrim NEEDS steam to even install. I was pumped when I bought it from the store...then had to wait till midnight for it to unlock and let me play.

Yea it has random CTD issues and needs to be restarted when everytime you enter a shop everything is invisible...but that usually reminds me to go take a pee or get a new drink or snack.

This and the fact that their attacks are fairly weak. I have taken more damage from a bandit that was pew pew pewing me.

The problem is, dragons don't really scale that much.  This why they get pwned by normal mobs.  Dragons stay at a relatively pathetic state.  When something as fearsome as a dragon gets its ass kicked by a bear... I am just saying.

For me stuff just turns purple or I am running along and it suddenly closes the program.  Skyrim needs steam to install? Retarded. 

That is usually when I remember to get a new drink or food though.  I still don't like the random closing.

I got Skyrim on ps3 (hey, I wanted to be on the couch to play it, ok!?). I'm enjoying it, but the save game lag thing is getting to be a pain and the weirdest bug I've had so far is that my character model has completely disappeared, can't see my hands in first person and in third person or those finisher sequences, u can't see me at all....bloody weird when you kill a dragon and it thrashes around on its own whilst something invisible maims it.....  reboots don't work

Running fine on the 360, with only the usual Bethesda bugs going on. Like the Giant's knocking you into the stratosphere for example. Load times are a bit longer then I'd like, but manageable

I seriously forgot DDO existed until the lady kicked me off the Xbox a bit ago. I went on a HUGE Elder Scrolls bender for the month before Skyrim released. My girlfriend said today, and I quote:

"Go play some goddamn online game and let me use the Xbox."

If present-day-girlfriend and past-girlfriend met, the past version would puke, die, or miscarry on the spot.

Apparently DDO had some updates and bannings while I (for the 8,000th time) entirely forgot that Morrowind has a main story? I have literally a month or so of release notes and locked threads to catch up on. Fucking Bethesda. I fus-ro-dah in your general direction.

Wait, what do you mean, Morrowind has a main story? I thought the main story was "You were a prisoner for some reason, and they decided to let you go in Morrowind. Go have fun."

Actually, isn't that basically the main story for EVERY Elder Scrolls game, other than Daggerfall (where it's "You got shipwrecked in Daggerfall. Go have fun.")? Originality!

Finally broke down and made my dragon armor.  Also got me a really neat glass sword to tide me over until I can make Daedric.
