Are they closing the challenges? They did that with other areas in the past (Red Fens, etc).

Closing the challenges doesn't fix the problem completely; they'd also have to delete all existing treasure boxes. Hopefully, they just fix the bug [I seem to recall a no-bank tag existing at some point].
Though it will probably be either close the challenges and delete the boxes, or delete the boxes and stop them from dropping.

No-bank tag should be easy enough; I've had a few quest-only items that I couldn't mail, bank, or auction (trading and shared bank worked, though).

They don't mention exploits on the forums. There was a thread about Argo's economy with no details on the exploit, that up and vanished earlier.

I know, was just happy about the challenge objectives being tweaked.

Had a few people have an instance crash with a rollback to their log-on state, so that's something they need to fix fast. Lost my Shroud bag on Lamannia due to one of those crashes when Acute Delirium was hanging.

I'm just glad that I've not even set foot into Challenges on live. Not that it will serve as any protection given the last endless banning. They gave out a bunch of vacations in summer 2010 over the scrolls in VoN 1, so I wonder if they will be able to track people who did this?

My guild on Orien lost a few people in July 2010. Pretty sure it was from running Tharask on epic, some of them claimed to have no idea why they were banned. Most of them stopped playing shortly after.

plat has no value if you already have enough plat.

It needs to be refreshed from time to time though and if you deconstruct your loot you'll likely use more in consumables then you pull from questing and have to sell some things from time to time to refill the coffers.
