i can just see him quietly eating his sandwich at an empty table in the middle of the room while the other staff is all like 'lol dont talk to that guy.  hes a brown noser and a dork'.  then someone throws french fries at him.

I don't know what kind of work you do Rev Jim, but every job I have ever held, from white to blue collar, has been High-school clicks reincarnate.  I have not held any executive positions though, or clergy for that matter; lol.

But as far as this thread goes I don't think a room full of "computer nerds" would act like jocks because one geek is liked more then the rest by the "lay-mans", lamas, lemmings, noobs... whatever.  From my experience cool geeks have been the subject of intense scrutiny by the other geeks; they want to learn the "why are you accepted but I'm not thing".

Kudos for the troll thread, you got me.  Maj if you read this thread "Stay the course; you are helping even when you say: "I'm sorry I cannot do anything, I've been trying." any response is better than none.

I don't think the original post was that dumb quite frankly.

I really DO wonder how Maj. is perceived\treated at Turbine HQ.

It makes a lot of sense actually. First and foremost, we are talking about Turbine. That means you should take your expectations, stretch them out of shape and then let them fly across the room like a rubber band.

Second, speaking from personal experience here weak minded people get offended when someone around them is better than them. Instead of trying to rise up to meet them on their level, they try to drag the successful person down to their own. Most people are weak minded, therefore it would make sense that a team of incompetent employees would get offended because one guy is at least trying to do his fucking job.
