- try to blind run your 1st play through. guides will ruin the game
- that being said, if you see ghosts or skellys in the first hour you are going the wrong way.

- Resistance

a dump stat.
- all most every attack can be dodged if you are not over equipped

Well I have never played this game, and I don't really know what you are talking about. But from what I have read so far I can come to the conclusion that the answer to your question, and almost any other question you might end up having, is that the game fucking hates you and wants you to die a painful fiery death over and over again forever.
Best of both worlds really. You get to die
and
live in a fire forever. Or at least the equivalent of living in a fire forever.

Guessing the Tauros Demon is on my way now? or?
I did find the merchant, bought a short bow. Very happy with it
My next issue is finding my way through. I did find this lizard thing and got some Titanite for it, so that works, but I can go up to the Demon, or down to the Heavy Armor guy. And a little side path leads to a Knight looking guy that beat the fuck out of me in 2 hits (not that everything else doesn't already do that :p)
