Would be surprised by anything less than a 100:1 ratio of BEGONEWITHIT! to ITHASFLAVOR

I wonder what they'll "re-balance" so that all of those mobs casting ray of enfeeblement/exhaustion can still kill players by overloading them.

I have an 8 base str cleric. that 8 base str was a mistake. lucky bulls strength is a class spell and it does not hurt at all to load it.

However needing to keep myself buffed with bulls strength AT ALL TIMES is getting really annoying.

That being said I would rather have them leave it alone, cause this is really only a problem for characters with a base str of 8, and I like strength damage being a weakness to pure casters.

I think ill just copy this to the other thread...

Yeah, my Arti has 8 base as well. Thankfully UMD is a class skill and Bull's Strength wands are everywhere.

Even just making chest runs in sands for bloodstones/ross's I regularly hit 0 str if I don't have bull's up.

Double save (Str score or Fort save) Make first, no effect.  Fail one, burdened.  Fail both overloaded.

Actually, I like the fact that you have to drink a restoration potion on a caster when hit by a ray of enfeeblement.

This. It's not simple annoyance or flavor (like the spell ingredients are). It's has a "build decision" aspect about it.

That would be perfect. Most annoying aspect of Skyrim was losing movement speed because I carried too much gear. Mule runs to drop off gear does NOT = fun.

I remember that one time I had to beg for a restoration after getting hit by a symbol of weakness in part two of shroud. I didn't think I would need the pot because I could cast the spell. I carry the pot now. I have never used it, but I carry it.

Then you failed at building and gearing your caster   Wink. STR-draining effects are one the few things that favor melees over casters.

Well shit. I guess that's one more inventory slot then.

Yes I have failed. But when I fail I make sure to fail gloriously.

I must say that not only do I carry the pots on all of my characters (divines included), but also I have it hotkeyed (same as remove curse pots). To get rid of enfeeblement/stat damage/exhaustion ASAP.

I agree that encumbrance is something that affects (and should effect) build decisions but with the caveat that all the stupid challenge, shroud, cannith, baking, crystal meth, and other assorted ingredients that end up in the red or green bags should have no weight once they get there.  Otherwise it goes from a build decision to DDO: Inventory Management 401.

I thought you did it on purpose.  Sad  Though worries about encumbrance shouldn't exactly effect builds, it'd be funny if it did.  Tongue

this is their way of saying we can't actually fix bags of holding to have everything inside be weightless so instead lets just make encumbrance a thing of the past.

It's the band-aid like coding handwraps to not be weapons that turbine likes to keep doing.

Hey, they asked what people thought before doing it. That is a huge improvement.

I would be sad if there was no longer a mechanism in the game for 8 str wizards to become helpless. Wizards and sorcs should not have four dumpstats.

In the current state of the game, they wouldn't be overpowered even if they had 6 dump stats.

I have seen the occasional one with TWF, especially fighters. Combat expertise (??) requires some points to int. UMD might drive a few points to cha.
