Exploiters and Tigers and Tomes, Oh My!
Oh yes... that whistling howl you hear? That's the price of stat tomes rapidly plummeting.

Now that tomes are pretty much going to be "eat one and you're done", and done forever; the market for them will be brisk at first, but the demand will fall off very rapidly.

Now the exploiters...errr...I mean tome farmers, will have to be quick to sell off what they've got on-hand (and do it at already reduced prices; they'll have to beat the price/convenience of the DDO store at the very least).

I'm sure there's already much hand-wringing going on, because it will be a sure-fire revelation as to who was exploiting, if someone decides to track all the upcoming tome-trading that's going to occur.
No you dumb fuck.  Tomes will be more valuable than EVAH!  Each tome now has far more utility and therefore demand and price will increase.  There will be constant NEW demand as long as there are new players and new alts.  Logic comes from the mind, not the ass that is sore from the unfairness of the universe plowing it.  As much as you wish karma would right all wrongs, there is no cosmic balance.

He is just sad that someone is being a moron on the ddo forums (shocker right?) and has to whine about here.

So, how is the weather?

Epoch needs to post his temperatures and make you all cry. It was -56 for him yesterday, according to his guild chat post.

Alaska, and not the part of Alaska for soft people. I think he is in the remote area and lives off of seals.

Well that's fun.  The coldest I've ever been in was -45, two years ago in Minot, ND for a business trip.  It was miserable.

BAH!

I bet that didn't include the windchill either. I hate it when people use windchill as if it were the actual temperature, but Epoch doesn't seem the type to do that.

I did a few winters in Edmonton, and when you wake up to -45 celsius (-49F), it's damn cold. All the wind does is reduce the number of seconds it takes for exposed skin to freeze.

Now, it's a festering puddle of monkey diarrhea. No matter how you try to justify it, or pat yourselves on the back for doing great jobs... it's a shit game now because of you. Y'all keep on giving the players the middle finger, and you keep expecting us to reward you for the abuse. I've had it with you narcissistic fuckwads and your myopic policies of ineptitude.

Price is a matter of supply and demand, not the utility of the tomes.  Yes, tomes gain more utility.  But that doesn't mean demand will actually rise.  It's a question of whether the new demand of people who now will eat a tome they wouldn't eat now, vs. the loss of demand from TRs who won't need to re-eat tomes.

My guess is the loss of demand will be more than the gain of demand, but I can't be certain.  How many people actually hold off on using +1/+2 tomes because they'll TR?  I guess if you're doing a serial TR rush for completionist, but how many of those players are there compared to more casual TRs, that spend significant time at cap, and thus already eat +2 tomes anyway?

But, seriously, this is an issue that you felt so enraged by, that you had to come to the Vault so you could use profanity in your response?

No question that this drops the value of +1s and +2s.  +3s, on the other hand, should see a nice spike and I doubt they'll drop too terribly far.

This new announcement will make the price of +3 tomes plummet when they start selling +3 supreme tomes in the DDO store again, that's for sure.

Yes.  And by THIS, I hope you're referring to the deluded self-righteousness of the guy who thinks the exploiters are going to get their just desserts.

Besides, what the fuck is this forum for anyway?  There's hardly any useful info.  Just the same dozen people circle-jerking every thread with their inanity.  I'm not exactly wasting precious space here.

Please stop interrupting our circle jerk, stainer loses his rhythm when distracted and I'm really close.
