I like that idea of them pausing when in public area.  Not necessary, but it would be cool if they changed ship buffs to pause like hirelings now do.

I hate it when the last person joins and immediatly demands "ship inv plz", and i know it will take him 10 minutes to beat down the dummy.

And there's always someone who will pass out a ship invite to that inconsiderate bastard who's stealing my time 

I'm all for stopping the timer to stop those bastards from stealing my time.
