Wow, so another 70% xp for a first run of a quest and 20% more for every run after.  That is pretty impressive.  I wonder if this is going on a body slot item or a one use item that lasts through life/forever like a tome.

50%. It's 50% the first time OR 20%, not both. And it's very clearly a tome ("this massive book enhances your ability to learn", the bit about persisting through TRs, etc).

Check.  Maybe on the tome part.  I kind of figured from the wording that this 'mistake' is more along the lines that they figured they could sell both seperate for more money so the real mistake was having this slip into the build.

Probably, if this was a marketing changing their mind thing though that is why I wonder if this will be different when the real item rolls out.  Would love to see it as a tome that persists through TRs though, that would be so awesome that I would actually shell out real cash for the first time in a long time.

20% bravery
50% tome first time in quest
50% streak
80% first time doing Elite
Total increase in XP for first time Elite without in-quest bonuses = 200%
+Conquest 25%
+Ransack 15%
+persistance 10%
+no deaths 10%
Total with in-quest bonuses = 260%

I believe that Voice, XP pot and 3% ship buff all apply after other multipliers are added, so that's
(Base + 260%) * 1.38

Total XP for a quest with all of the appropriate bonuses
Base * 4.97

That's five times the base XP for running the quest and getting all of the bonuses for conquest, ransack, etc.  If you just sprint to the end and get no bonuses other than persistance, you still end up with 4.14 times the base XP for the quest.

Looks like even third life characters won't have to farm XP in any quests until level 15 if they're willing to drink an XP pot or two.

Edit: the 50% first-time replaces the 20% every-time XP bonus, so I had to fix the numbers.

hope this is not true, already crazy easy to get to cap, even on a first TR.

Just gonna mean more capped players that have no idea how to play their class.

go play a double TR a few lives in a row, anything that makes that less tedious is a good thing.

if the devs would rather release stuff like this than content that actually gives acceptable exp returns then i'm ok with this.

And how would that be any different?  Just means vets won't have to wait as long.

Once this comes out, imagine how many more true hearts they will sell, coupled with keeping tomes when you TR.

If this allows me to do a second TR by basically running everything on elite and keeping my bravery bonus going I'm all for it and it might actually convince me to do some second TRs.

I'm going to pull the trigger on my first ever third life a few days after U13 rolls out.  It's Wizard->Wizard->Wizard, so that's about as easy to level as you can get, but I'm still a little apprehensive about levels 16+ on that third life.

I know that there are a fair number of completionists roaming around now, but I'm still reluctant to go for that third life just because even a second life drags on for too long for my tastes at level 18.  The XP tome could make a big difference in convincing me that more lives is a reasonable goal.

About to hit 15 on my Arti/Ranger hitman for life 3.  It has been a cake walk.  I think we are on our 6th XP potion maybe?  Mostly Elite and done, few farms like Tear, Pit and VoN3, but those even were only E/H/NN.  Don't worry about the XP, it flies.

Again, TR XP is a scaled curve. At level 15, you're at about 2.1M XP - not even half of the XP to 20! Just wait.

I still wish they would just go through the content and up the XP in the crap XP quests.  But, I would totally buy the tomes with the XP booster effects in the description.

Levels 18-19 represent 25% of the total XP you will need to earn.  Pace yourself.

Strictly looking at the numbers, that equates to running all quests from 13-20 (About 60), excluding raids, on Elite then hard in base XP alone. Add in optional objectives and you'll come in under that easily.

Fuck you.

I have several TR's planned and this will make them more fun since I can get them back to cap and TR again without having to do quests that I don't like to run.

Amusingly, with level 7 veteran and a +50% tome on a 20% bonus weekend, you could probably cap a first lifer in something like four or five hours.

Read the whole description.  The part that everyone here is talking about.  Not just the first part.  Dumbass.

Don't 5% shrines not stack with the voice/cloak?
