any fans? I'm excited but also hesitant because the last two bioware games I played left bad tastes in my mouth :/ Dragon age 2 and swtor that is. I give them a little break on swtor though considering it was their first MMO. But wtf happened with DA2?

lol nice pic. i thought the gameplay was poop too though... oh wells i dont think they can mess up much with ME3 mechanically. just kind of hope there are some new interesting characters and not just all returning ones that survived.

Was hard to get a feel for ME3 from the demo because it was too disconnected from the choices you made in ME1 and 2.  Combat didn't seem like too big of a departure.  Personally, I liked the characters from the first 2 and would rather have my pick of them instead of there being some contrived reason to form an all new team.  I didn't bust my ass pulling them all through the suicide mission just to have them say, "Sorry, can't save the galaxy right now,  I have to wash my hair." after all.

It would be kind of cool to get a Hanar, Volus, and Elcor though.

Cordial greeting: Shepard
Elcor.

Game already has me regretting two of my decisions.  But at least I've only had to watch the deaths of two of my friends so far.  Also ventured into multiplayer since your chances for the end seem effectively crippled unless you do.

As a side note, I'd like to punch the Illusive Man in the dick.

I was playing battlefield last night and asked a friend what he thought of the ending and he pretty much said what hiter said in the video verbatim.

Possible (weak) spoilers.

It's really true though. Playing through they do such a great job pulling back to the old faces and connecting the story to what happens in the first 2 games.  Then the end scene plays out like the fucking Architect scene from Matrix.  I want an epilogue to see how the universe goes on, even static images of characters with a text overlay would be fine, just not some fucking trees and Joker limping out of the Normandy.

Also, I had Liara in my group when it was made fairly clear that only Shep and Anderson survived to reach the beam, yet she somehow steps off the ship with Joker at the end.  I think it's a Cerberus double and Joker better watch his back.

I never touched the series. Now I am feeling pretty vindicated about it.

No, it's still a great series, and has some of the best and most fleshed out characters you'll find in a video game.  The lackluster cutscene ending does not invalidate the other hundreds of hours of gameplay.  It just doesn't live up to it.

I haven't played Mass Effect but I felt this was appropriate.

Apparently there was some drama between the Retake Mass Effect movement and Child's Play, the Penny Arcade charity.

Also, apparently there is a Retake Mass Effect movement.
