PSA - Undead casters (Read 4266 times)

	This might just be a BFAG or OMGBizzy (Oak) thing but when you are playing a Fleshy Palemaster Wiz, you need to have Negative Energy Burst MEMORIZED AND ON YOUR HOTBAR! Ran some Dreams of Insanity with Beerguy last night and you could hear that fucker screaming from 2 corridors away as he was kiting mobs (aka, running like a little girl) as his death aura would not keep up with the beatdown he was taking. He also could not understand why he stopped healing with his aura up while standing in front of the beholders but that is a different thing altogether....... I asked him about the spell after our 3rd run and he said he had never heard of it! Went to level up and he could not find it on the list of spells to take as he leveled up, come to find out, he had already scribed it into his book but since he didn't know what it did, he never slotted it! He has been educated now and plans to pass the knowledge of this spell along to Beergirl as she is known to have the exact same issue of her death aura not keeping up with the incoming damage on occasion. disclaimer - Eric claims this is his first ever PM and was unfamiliar of the class PRE. I could hear the ice hitting the side of the glass as he was saying this so take the explanation at your own risk. I have sent him a bill for the 6K XP lost due to death and will update when he has paid this off~!

	One time on my PM I was kiting some mobs through Wall of Fire with Death Aura up. I noticed that I was taking more damage than usual, so I tossed Displacement on myself. Still too much damage, so I cast a Neg Energy Burst. Somehow, I was almost dead anyway. Then I went into undead form like a pro.

It's called, "I just started the quest or shrined". Normally only takes me dipping down about 60hp's or so before I start to wonder why I'm not healing. Part of the reason I'm glad the wizard lives are done now.
