I personally enjoy the pugging experiences, ESPECIALLY while leveling. There are plenty of times when you will meet people from well known guilds in pug raids but you really get to know an individual while leveling. I've spent days with someone leveling, but I rarely if ever spend days with an individual while raiding. Normally you raid, then drop and move on to the next raid, meanwhile you might not talk to that person for months, or ever again because they primarily only raid in guild.

I never worry about that 10%, doubly so when PUGing. Even in good groups, someone will do something stupid every few runs.

Your TR group can two/three man the quest and it is fun to have others along for the laughs.

It is really good when you have completed 10 GH walk ups and they still haven't made it to the quest.

Being concerned about a 10% xp loss is becoming antiquated quickly. 

In our small guild- running everything on elite the first time through as a group someone always makes the mistake of thinking the other player will take care of something.  This results in *ding* and a fun conversation.  When we take puggies along, they more often than not have less hp and survivability than a barrel.  And it's funny...

We don't care that people die.  That's why we have res clickies.  People that act like a horse's patoot get laughed at and sometimes told off by myself.  Thing is the actual amount of xp you lose is not that bad.  On top of this we have bravery/xp tomes/xp pots/bonus weekends/etc.  If I wanted to burn out I could do the remainder of the PL I want my wizard to have in a week.  I'm just not hardcore like that.  I'd rather pug and have fun showing people that don't know that experienced players are generally not pricks.  And that they may glean some pointers on how to improve their character and their play.  It's supposed to be fun people...

I fucked up in a quest that I was soloing recently and died, so I released out.  I then did something that I've never done before while leveling.  I reentered the quest.

-10% persistence bonus and -20% reentry penalty just didn't seem all that significant when I have +50% streak, +80% first time Elite and +50% first time in quest from an XP tome.

I don't think I'm going to make a habit of dying and reentering the quest without letting it reset, but at least the XP part of it wasn't a big deal.
