I've been working on my monk's gear a lot lately.

I have all the pieces but the Shard for the Epic Jidz-Tet'ka, but after reading Epoch's posts, I'm not sure it's worth the farm to get the shard. It will make my Wisdom odd, and add +3 to armor class. The character is a HOrc dark monk who remains in Mountain stance a majority of the time, and as I don't have Byshiek Alchemical Wraps yet, the extra die step from Jidz is still nice.

I don't feel like the toon's ready for eChrono as I don't know the epic version that well. I wanted to finish my 20th ToD and 20th Reavers for a ring and possibly boots, and finish crafting my Epic Ring of the Manslayer and Epic Spare Hand before I go into eChrono. But once I start running eChrono's regularly, I want to go Lesser Abashi with Bracers, Gloves, and Cloak. Which means I'd no longer wear Jidz.

Worth the time to do it anyways?

There are just better items to go in that slot; eClaw or fab set come to mind off the top of my head.

You don't want the abishai set to be in the gloves.  You want piece 3 in either helm or boots.  You need the gloves, trinket, and goggles for ravens goggles and claw gloves with epic gem of many facets.  This gives you +4 to-hit and +4 dmg.  Boots work fine, but it is a hot swap place.  Helm isn't that bad.  Cloak and bracers work fine though for the other two.

This too, though you could just stick with the level 5 version.

Personally unless you're an ac toon, I'd go for the epic cape of the roc +2str, helm of moronon +7wis, madstone boots, fabricator bracers.

Well, I have the base, 2 of them.  Never the pieces for epic is what I meant.

Yes . . . but if you're going Epic GoMF and Raven's Sight anyway you can use the Epic Jidz in the bracers slot for +1 EXC WIS and two slots that's you'd have over the Bracers of the claw. 

Looks like a good play for WIS-based monks who need the to-hit.

If you have nothing else that is better to slot, and you already have all the pieces, you might as well.  What other character are you going to use it on?  Transitional gear is transitional.  Just because something is labelled “epic” doesn’t mean it’s the best.
