Retreat are pretty much all I do in a lot of quests at the early levels. Yeah, 4/8/10 mins of Exped Retreat at 1/2/3 is just heavenly. Retreat isn't bugged like striding, so it's actually better than having a Quiver at level 1 IIRC.

	Why are you in quests long enough for exp retreat to wear off in the first place?

	I dunno about you, but I am generally in quests longer than one minute. Even longer than three minutes sometimes.

	1) because I solo and soloing takes longer than running with other people inside the quest. 2) because I get distracted in the middle of quests and also sometimes alt-tab to post crap on the vault and that eats up the buff timer. 3) Because once and done on Elite doesn't feel like any grind at all and even doing mediocre XP/minute quests is still good XP/minute compared to farming a great XP/minute quest after you are done with the 50% streak, 80% first elite, 50% first time XP tome bonuses. And those quests usually take longer than Kobold's New Ringleader.

	I am trying to think of quests you would be in for longer then 1~3 minutes below level 4.

I just finished TRing my PM wiz and didn't take quicken until 18. The only real downside is that I felt really slow compared to leveling a sorc. You can be in form for running with the devils but it requires being insanely careful.

	I'm of the school of MrCow, lots of different quests solo on elite with farming only on the best of the best. I do level 1-2 on korthos for the favor and some of those quests are pretty long (Misery's Peak). I don't like spending money on TP, so I gain about 500-600 TP a life where Carpone spends 2000 or whatever.

You really need Extend as a crutch for 30 minutes of gameplay?

Yep I buy 20% potions and my hearts of wood.� Time > money to me.� With the release of tomes, I don't spend more than 25 hours of gameplay per TR.
