	I have been playing about 3 years now and I have no idea what this means in the game. What are channels? Is this just a term for the different chat windows or is there somehting more? Like private channels could be created and password accessed? I see there are chat channels but don't know much about them.

No, I stop listening when the bile starts. Not worth my sanity. You know my rule, treat me like a human and I'll do the same back. When the rage train starts...cya. So here is my peace out of the vault for a while. Thanks for the list Ranger, that was actually clear and helpful.

	You can create private channels. They can be open or password protected. You can create your own by typing /joinchannel whateveryouwantthechanneltobecalled - it's then assigned to one of the 4 userchat options, you need to have userchat turned on as incoming text in whatever chat window you are using. Password protected ones it's /joinchannel channelname password. I have mine in both guild and party windows. Say it's a channel called stuff and it's assigned to userchat 1 - you can communicate in that channel by typing /stuff hello or /1 hello in whatever chat window you are in. If you have Userchat 1 set as a valid incoming message in that chat window you will see responses. Once you have set up the channel with the /joinchannel request the game remembers this and will log you into it in the future. You leave the channel by typing /leavechannel. You can see how many people are in the channel when you log in but not who they are.

We should be able to list the people in channel. The channel creator should have kicking authority. We shouldn't have to re-enter our channels when we LR or TR. Among many many many other things.

	Thanks for the replies. I'm in a solo guild (level 31). So only solo and PUG. Mostly solo. Has any work been done or suggested re: channels. I.e. Channel panel like the Group panel?

It's too bad they were much to complex for your simple little mind. However, having now been goaded I think I will go to the DDO forums and now make this my crusade for the next 14 months. I am sure I can deflect any trolling with suggestions like: 1. Absolutely maintain the ability to protect the channels. 2. All channels names will be displayed but passwords will be protected 3. The creator of the channel will be shown but the creator will have an option to remain anonymous 4. Number of members in channel will be displayed 5. How active the channel is will be displayed (last used in hours) Good for you on the successfull trolling of Bazinga. My hats off to you.
