Epic Destiny Selection and TR question

If anyone knows yet...

If I pick a destiny on a life, say shiradi, when a ranger then TR w/o 6 levels of barb/ranger will I continue to advance that destiny after capping that following life?

I'm guessing the answer is "yes," as that seems to make sense, but, well, you know.

The way that I understand it is that you're stuck in your one destiny even if you TR.  That was done so that people couldn't jump around in the destiny tree by TRing and avoiding the TP-avoidable grind.

If you start with one destiny and want to get to another destiny, you have to go through the tree the Turbine approved way and can't short-cut your way through with a TR.

From what I understand, you would still have your levels in Shiradi.  But, you would be unable to access from your TR unless you had the other destinies unlocked between it and whatever destiny you selected for your new class.

Adding to your example:
For your second life you chose artificer.  You would need to go Fatesinger -> Shadowdancer -> Dreadnaught and then you could go back to Shiradi Champion at whatever rank you were before the T.R.

Edit: I was thinking this could be cool for a multi-TR as you could take advantage of the first time epic quest completions each incarnation.

This would kinda suck. While I'm doing 3 ranger lives anyway, it wouldn't matter for quite some time as I'm far from a 1 week/life player I do eventually want to get to a final artificer build, maybe completionist on the way...on that "final" life I'd like to not have to go through destinies like that, I'd like to have had maxed-out the one destiny a bit at a time over multiple lives.

No, after your TR you are still Shiradi Champion, no matter what class you take. Once you've picked one, you're stuck there until you unlock your way to what you need, regardless of LRs and TRs.

So the fast way to switch to a destiny you want (say, magister for fvs) is to:

1) take no destiny right away
2) TR into an appropriate class
3) take the destiny you want
4) TR back and level it

Seems easier than unlocking 5+ destinies to go from divine -> arcane.
