At the risk of sounding like a Turbine Fanboi....

I had a great time last night running Beyond the Rift, A couple quests in Eveningstar, and exploring the Kings Forest.  Most fun in game since ToD/Amrath was released.  The Green Dragon was cool (although it went down like a cheerleader on prom night.  Should have been a tougher.) .  Liked a lot of the new graphics.  Storyline works.

Know there's a lot of stuff that needs fixing, but I'm enjoying it on Day 1.  Will be interesting to see how it feels on day 100 or 200.  Longevity and sustained challenge is the key to success in an MMO.

I really like the new challenges. They finally figured out the formula to make a fun and exciting challenge mechanic.  They provide a nice party challenge as well.  Only down side is the shit loot mechanic...

My exact thoughts.  Cannith Challenges suck but have great loot.  These challenges are wonderful and have terrible loot.

holy but not quite thingy, cacophany & stunning +8 at level 16 is pretty cool for a first lifer without gs. took like 30 mins to make. not even a high enough level to use it

if hes 5/6 starring defenseless over and over I think that xp is intentional. if not yeah don't post Tongue

Yes.  The items actually drop in the challenges as well.

yeah. random

most of them suck. especially the armor.

but there's a few good effects scattered in and if you've got nothing else to use it's worth a try

You know, they didn't hit a home run with this release, but its a standup double. Existing content was made more challenging through some mechanic changes, and the released new content seems pretty well designed.

Some obvious bugs, but nothing cataclysmic and presumably easy to fix.

The problem is it should have been a homerun but they bit of more than they could chew.  Their project managers suck.  This should have released July 25.

They could have gotten nothing but praise but instead they poison their own victory.

Absolutely. This release could've been so much more with more time to get ready. I sincerely hope WB looks beyond the bottom line on this and looks at the customer satisfaction. But this has to have been fantastically profitable for them.

I sort of think you are right. They have really thought about vamping up the audio. There's a ton of stuff been done to the graphics to make it prettier, more colourful, more immersive.

I do think they need to cool down the traps a little, although  I don't think it's a bad thing not to see elite as a right.

Got two nice Tomes out of 2 hours of grind, that's fine for me. My death aura ticks for 50/100 points now, without any metas on. That's nice too. Things die under my fingers and wails like they used to, the mob limit and the new cooldowm are somewhat anyoing. It would be great when my PM was only tuned down in groups. I don't ruin the melees' game experience as I run solo anyway.

I've run through most of the quests, flagged for Caught in the web and ran all the challenges.  I think Belly of the beast is the only I haven't ran.

I've enjoyed every quest.  Whether on Epic Elite, or Epic norm farming, or Epic hard just to get it done, they have all been fun.
The wilderness areas could be toned down a bit in size, but the teleports take care of that issue well.

The only thing I would like to see changed in the content is something done to kill the flagging process in eberron.
Dust is a joke of a quest, Servants is meh, and Spinner is just boring.   Beyond the rift is just a pain as well.

Once in forgotten realms the game is super fun.

I would like to see epic versions of the Hospital quest and the other 19 in eveningstar.  The xp being so low I doubt they will be ran that much.

Yeah, i wish they could have cut the bugs in half... then I might have more faith in turbine again.

Who ever wrote the new challenges really nailed it as far as enjoyable play.  They borked the rewards, but such is turbine.

That is one of my issues with Turbine.  About half the bugs introduced won't ever be fixed.  Releasing bugs is fine, every developer does it.  I've never seen one go out of their way to avoid fixing them like Turbine does.  Makes them look lazy.
