Elite chains of flame, no buffs, no rogue, no pots

Again, with my static group, we went into Chains of Flame, elite. Medium lvl, 13-14.

It was a fast, smooth run and we successfully wiped at the  spinning blades traps.

I have stopped commenting in the group about our great tactics:

No ship buffs. No haste, no blur, no rage, no greater heroism, no heroism, no protection against elements, no stone skin.

Nobody uses a pot for nothing. Serious wounds pot? No. Heroism? No. Barkskin? No.

I just walk behind them, with my cleric. Some weeks ago, I would throw a holy smite or a BB, but I just walk behind them and wait for the wipe.
So, there I die again at the trap. The dwarf barbarian, with 456 HP, passes the trap with 176 left. Then he tries to get the stones of the dead. Without healing himself before, of course. He just has cure light wounds and it would take to long. So he dies. We release, I say bye bye, see you next weekend, log out, and play with some other toon.

And people complain about PUGs. I am playing with a bad PUG, always the same bad PUG.

I liked how they successfully wiped. Much more impressive than failing wiping.

No, or might end up rubbing poop over all the things.

Unless you're into that sort of thing, I won't judge.

I will judge.

see, what i like about your group is that the game is too easy, so you have decided to not use all the easy buttons like ship buffs, trappers, spell buffs, and tactics to make the game more fun.

The funniest part was the way through the sands. The dwarf barb was giding us with the wiki... we past the bridge and went further away...

Azog: "Hey, I think we are going the wrong way".
Dwarf Barb: "Do you know the way?"
Azog: "Not really, but I think you are going to far to the east..."
Dwarf Barb: "If you donīt know the way then shut the fuck up"

We ended up by the rare "Vorvrand Darkfur" ...

You should write a memoir.  It would be a best seller.  Grin

Are you still in the static group for the amusement of failures? If my static group acted like that I'd drop, especially if I were playing a cleric under those conditions. Sure it would be amusing a time or two, but not long-term.

There are some rewarding moments. For example, seeing how the PM is dead in the spinning blades, he asks for res. Of course, he doesnt go out from the blades. *Ding*. The funny thing, he is the same guy that was playing the Arti in my VoN5 Story. That day, he also asked to be ressed, and even after I told him to go out, he didnīt. Well, *ding*, of course. That day he /ragequited.

I am thinking about leveling a Fighter I have (lvl 10 atm) to lvl 13 and play the next weekend with it. I will jump directly into the traps with laughter.

Or the halfling throwbarian with maxed charisma and dumped con, for intimidate.

This weekend my friends (the static group) meet in Spain a whole weekend to play PnP, so I will have time to make a new char.

They might complete a quest if someone was able to play a competent healer besides Azog, so that idea is right out.

I have to admit I was a bad cleric.

Now I am a very bad cleric. I just wait like a vulture for everyone to die.
I toss some mass cure moderate and have the aura always on, so it isnīt too obvious.

You should just greater command everything.  That and soundburst are my donations to healing.  For the rest, they can use pots or wands.

Actually, I should take a look at my DC, to improve it.
I have the staff of fleshshaping, the fuck this, the fuck that, mainly for hjeals, but I never checked my DC. If you could give me some advice. I wanted to LR anyway.

The Vulture strategy is much better. I think I might adopt it in future pugs.

Just max your wisdom and use a +6 wis item, put all lvl points in wisdom, and grab all 3 wisdom enhancements.  After that, soundburst is evocation and greater command is enchantment.  Should be all you need to get the dcs high enough.  Oh, and have heighten otherwise soundburst is pretty shitty.
