I would not go out of my way to kill a certain type of creature because the xp rewards are too low to waste time actively seeking, other than that this new feature is useless fluff. 

It reminds me of one of those perks credit cards, nice to have little bonuses for killing the same mobs we always do.

I'll wait until I find out more information before I form an opinion of the utility of it, but in general I do like it. It's kind of neat to see what you're killing and how much of it.  Also, the little perks are nice, if small, bonuses that require no extra work on our part.

The utility of it will rely on just how much information they give in these entries. If they tell you saves and DR values, that could be very helpful. Though, if you have to kill 3,000+ hellhounds to learn that they are immune to fire...

I haven't tried it yet (just now got my computer back up and working again about 30 seconds ago), but I like the idea of being able to see an enemy's max HP once you have killed enough of them on that account.

Opening the manual and looking at the entry fixed that one for me. 

Tolero also posted that switching zones would get rid of the spamming as well.

Gawna, I didn't personally experience that, but did see other reports of it too. See above post from Osh for the "official" word on how to fix in the meantime.

I've personally only run on one character, so I can't say; however, I've seen others complain of this as well.

I am such a slave to the numbers.  I'll probably try to max then all out because... they must be obeyed.

I have a hard time leaving a wilderness behind with an odd number of slayers too, so I know what I'm in for.

Update: just checked mine again after running a Delera's - I now know that skeletons generally have DR/Bludgeon and generally have no resistances.

This, of course, proves that I was wrong when I thought I knew that ALL skeletons were immune to cold.

I was getting the "you have killed your first _____" messages too, until I opened the book and saw that named creatures are seperate from the regular ones.  So if you kill a named Sahaguin(sp?) on Korthos, it is different than a priestess or warrior, etc...now if I can only get the one rare to spawn in that Korthos quest behind the gate...

The funny part is, they reset all sound values again with the hotfix. And by funny, I mean my fucking ears are ringing.

I know, I already had to reset my sounds yesterday when I got back in game because Maxwell was making my ears bleed. For some reason I can't seem to get the tell sound exactly where I want it.
