	If a game released in 2012 doesn't have better graphics than one from 2006, there would be a serious problem. I would expect an order of magnitude increase in graphics and game engine. If those aren't clear wins for the 6 years newer game, then something is wrong.

WoW has been able to keep their graphics fairly close to modern games throughout it's life cycle.

That said gw2 would certainly be a nice change of pace to DDO, if you don't mind flimsy security for your purchase. i was a big fan of purchase and play for free when gw first came out, revolutionized mmo's and i never subscribed to anything post gw. sure you'll have to buy xpacs, but even subscription games require that. a fuck of a lot better than other f2p games, most which are pay to win...just look at gpotatos crap.

No, but it's much more difficult to re-architect an in-production game with a newer core than to build one from scratch using the cutting edge. Invariably you run into legacy coding and compatibility issues.

	DDO accounts don't get hacked because no one really cares enough to hack DDO accounts. 11000 accounts seems about the right number for people using "password1".

	The issue with Gw2 accounts getting hacked was indeed that people were using the same account name and passwords from other games. It wasn't an issue with their security. It was that other accounts had been hacked and the hackers were trying those names and passwords with Gw2. Guess what? Some of them worked. So yes, it was their own fucking fault.
