Yep, I got all the Halloween achievements also, including the clock tower. Got it on opening day with my asura, 10 charr blocking me and all.

I believe the new main enemy will be the "mysterious, monstrous force" that is going to come out of the Sea of Sorrows. Probly "Bubbles" AKA Deep Sea Dragon. Cannot wait for that.

Oh that should be exciting.  I hope they don't screw it up like they did with the Zhaitan end fight.  Arah story mode was seriously, seriously.  Boring.

That seems to be the consensus on the GW2 forums as well.

Oh man, now I'm seeing more and more posts that the "sea monster" may be a leviathan. I don't want a giant underwater battle...

Maybe if they somehow make it so we can fight the monster from a ship, or from shore...or something. The underwater combat is good, very good for an MMO, but I just prefer land combat much better.

I liked the halloween event.  Couldn't figure out how to fling as much food as others during the food fights though.  Best I could do was fling 3 globs of food then couldn't fling anymore for a few seconds.

Loved that clock tower.  Took a few hours but I got it.  I haven't done all the jumping puzzles but I'm suspecting that none of them have a timer that the clock tower had.  Loved that.  Only thing I'd like to see different is there were a few edges that were too easy to hook up on, mostly on the second cog with the stairs on the other side.  Edges is something in the whole game I'd like to see fixed but with so many I don't see that happening.

Didn't care for the PvP that you had to run out to the pumpkin patch.  Just didn't like the weapons I was set up with but that was probably because I was used to my thief dagger set and pistol set and the other skills I've become used to like stealth.

I did like the other PvP with the ghosts and villagers.

Found the main zones to be a bit lacking in players though.  Seemed most were doing the halloween event and grinding out the labrinth.  Labrinth was pretty good XP and loot.  Got a few nice pieces out of there off the mobs as well.  Nice that the loot in there scaled with your level and the events spawned fast enough that the XP was pretty good.  Just wish the candy elementals and other stuff in there counted toward a different monster type for dailies.  Able to get every daily in there except the different monster types.

The game over all is fun but I wish there were a few more skills and things to work with.  I miss my options that I had with DDO.  I really wish there was a slot for a backpack consumable if there is anything that would restore any kind of health but I haven't seen anything so there may not be other than the food items that restore so much health per second.

Not sure about that, The un-named dragon was in the endless ocean.  Pretty sure they are going to hit up on either Jormag or Kralkitorik next then probably primoridious before they get to the un-named dragon. I could be wrong but either way i am sure it will be awesome.

The krait blood which in kessex hills is a pretty epic underwater fight, Down in that dome thing low visibilty... And the fact that you can get attacked from every angle instead of just your front back and side add's a bit of difficulty.

Ahh yeah the krait blood witch...attempted that solo on my 24 necromancer but the endless respawn of krait took me down. Getting through the entrance along with those two quick respawning vets took ten or fifteen minutes. Once inside the underwater temple I couldn't tank the witch in one spot, so with the constant respawns everywhere I failed fairly quick. I'm sure it could be a great fight with a party, but my few minions just didn't cut it.

How bout movement?

Standard mode for me in DDO is with a G13 gamepad mapped to Forward, Reverse, Strafe Left and Strafe Right with Mouse Right Click Hold to turn camera and steer.  Mouse Scroll Wheel set to Zoom I/O

What I love about DDO is I can run at mob(s) jump over them, spin in mid air attack and  run circles around them jumping around like a loon.

How does the character movement compare?  Can you jump? Is there a need to?

$60 seems a small price to pay for an entertaining past time.

DDO may have never been perfect but over the last years times there is more and more that makes me teeth gnashing frothing mad and I don't need that in my life.  It's not the game difficulty it's the shit not working when I WANT to do something challenging (like PUG lol).

Hell....HKAI would probably be appealing if there was no lag.

Tempting - but 18 gig of download is just too painful. I wouldn't be done by the time the free trial started, judging by the week it took me to download DCUO

Awesome! Getting a copy after work.  $60 is easy compared to the $200 for 2, 1 year VIP DDO Subs I will NOT be paying for.  My GF is cool with going f2p too but she's got some Call O' Duty thing she's excited about.

With 8.65 lives done toward completionist I am kinda bummed, actually really disappointed that the DDO love is lost.

Heh. I'm not sure I'd trust the gracious denizens of the Vault with such things. I might kidnap my mother's bandwidth on the Christmas visit though -it's not like they'd notice, given they don't really do the internet Cheesy

You don't have to pay retail if you can wait for a deal.  Yesterday, Amazon had a supplier list it for $39 - they're sold out for that price now.  Slickdeals' Original posting.

Greenman Gaming might still have it for 25% off.

Its not the computer that is the issue, its the broadband. I sometimes think a piece of string and two tin cans would be faster...

I will take all DDO accounts of people quitting.  Just PM me the info.  If you are unwilling to do this, you are a liar and a cheat and you are only in the denial stage of your love for ddo and desire to play it.
If you do send me the info, your account will be fucking ashes when I am done.

Thank you, have a nice day.
