Hopefully this works.

http://www.nbcnews.com/technology/ingame/hackers-slaughter-thousands-world-warcr...

A hacker went in and was able to just walk around and kill other players by being near them.  Pretty funny.

What the actual fuck.

This guy is on a Mythical level of Butthurt.

I wish Turbine had cool bugs like this.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

Could you imagine saving this for a raid in Parvo's guild?

It's been a long, long, time but I seem to remember equipment damage and a timed debuff, at least if you died and released.

not as long for me, but for PvP kills no equipment dmg or debuff.  Not 100% sure though.

We didn't do any permanent damage," the bringer of death retaliated. "Some people liked it for a new topic of conversation and a funny stream to watch, and some people didn't. The people who didn't should be blaming Blizzard for not fixing it faster (four hours of obvious use is sad).

"It's not like I added 20,000,000 gold to everyone's inventory and broke the economy, but look at the big Chinese gold seller companies who are doing this every day. Now ask yourself who is really ruining the game. It's not us.

"That's my justification," the posted ended.

Fair point. I think you are right with respect to PvP. I'm such a spazz that I really never did PvP and played 99.99% PvE.

Back a little before I played WoW, there was a disease in one of the raids that would spread to those around you, and a bug caused it to persist after the raid ended.  People would infiltrate the opposing towns and disease all of the lowbies, who then promptly died.  It was a legendary event, and I'm sorry I missed it.  I think things like that are awesome as long as they don't cause permanent damage to the game or community.  And no, PvP death in WoW causes nothing permanent.

Yes, the people who study epidemics looked at this as a case study.

Not really sure (and don't really care) but are these deaths considered PvE or PvP?

Edited:
Might be wrong but I think the basis was that the disease could spread to pets, you could unsummon the pet during the raid after if got infected, then resummon the infected pet back in town. Much fun was had.

That was the old epidemic. Don't know what is happening here.

Yeah, the plague event is legendary.

i don't know how they can call this an exploit though...

Even Turbine would have taken 3 months to fix it.

That was awesome, though we mostly spread it to our own faction.
