Love the idea of big goofy robots blasting the shit out of each other!

Played the original computer games and the tabletop game. Could be fun!

Played the tabletop as a kid and all 5 videogames that I spotted over the years ( 1-4 on Pc and 1 on psone). Loved all of it.

Signed up. Could be interesting if they kept the same degree of tradeoffs as their predecessors.

Some were better than others. In 3 you could customize your whole layout. Then in 4 they dumbed it down to pod slots    Cry

Registered... And yes MW II and III were the bests for me as computer games.

hmm, I will have to change PC then ( 6 year and a half old Pentium D 930, 2GB Ram and a GTS250... works fine for DDO in dual screen )

I think it is buggy as well.  I could only play one match at a time.  If I didn't log all the way out between matches I couldn't move.  But even at medium settings my dual 9510 gtx's held up quite nicely.  But, since the game is PVP only, and pay to win at that, I won't be getting it.

I tried it out for a bit last night.  Seemed like fun, but it could really use a way to run around and test things without being forced into combat.

I'd imagine that's a feature of the beta, I guess.  But I'd like a bit more time to run around and play with weapon sets and controls without lettting my randomly assigned teamates down.

Apparently that's expected in pure PUG's. It needs an interactive tutorial, not a video tutorial with people who actually know how to control the mech.

Tempted to jump into a few more matches, but the pay2win mechanic as mentioned is off putting. I never liked PvP where the unemployed and students can sit on it all day and the casuals get reamed.

I don't see why PvE isn't possible, but maybe they didn't actually include an AI, saving a lot of dev time?

I always liked the Phoenix Hawk. Probably irrationally, but it seemed a good mix of mobility, armor and firepower.

Ammo crits were a pain in the ass, though, that mech seemed especially vulnerable to them.

First mech up for sale:  Armor of a heavy, weapons a bit better than a medium, Move of a medium and great heat dis.  IN ADDITION TO a c-bill bonus of either 20 or 30%.

No.
