I recommend the suit, the gloves don't help that much.

It actually looks decent if they ever get it finished. I doubt it will replace "ddo" but atleast it will give the fanboi's something to occupy there time for a few weeks.

I don't like the 4.0 focus nor the limitations on class/character selection that I have seen thus far.  Too limiting.  I'm also not sold on the user created content concept.  It sounds great in theory but in function, problems abound from quality, continuity, loot management, IP/copyright issues, etc.

I'll give it a look, but I doubt it will grab my attention.

Did you play the first NWN or multiplayer BG over gamespy?

It wasn't TOO bad, but yes, you run into someone who shouldn't be given crayons vs. a worldbuilder on occasion.  There were also some fantastic (!) user created mods.

I didn't get into the user-created content until after I finished the official campaign material - I looked at user content as a way to extend the game; but i knida wish I had after the fact.

All that praise aside - 4E rules are just horrible, so I'll prolly pan this one.

I'm waiting for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition to get a linux client - there were hints from their producer that they were gonna release after Windows and Mac were released... we'll see if they're for real or Fernando .

If it's on Mac it's already on Linux.

Mac OS X and newer is a metling pot that contains bits and pieces of Linux, NEXTStep and OpenBSD.
The problem when it comes to Linux is to compile things for a given distribution... and a given system.
