Yeah, I don't understand why bring it back. Wasn't it an utter failure back in the day? I did read a lot of mixed reviews of this game, so I'm not sure if it was any good.

I wonder if this is a result of the big shots they hired a couple of months ago.  So far, I haven't been able to attribute anything to their hires.

It only costs the amount of whatever server hardware they allocate to it.  If they can get a few thousand people to pay a subscription fee for just a couple of months, then they can see a quick, minor profit and then abandon it again.

Makes sense to me with Turbine's current business model of "squeeze as much profit out of existing games as possible without worrying about long term viability of the game".

ac2 was actually pretty good at the end. but not enough people checked out the expansion... and who would with how terrible it waz before... I think it didnt even have chat for 3 months.
